About
You only meant to try a new card game. One divine filing error later, you arrive in Oakford – a woodland town where heroic deeds are stamped, monsters are properly recorded, and poor decisions remain on file for an alarmingly long time.
Build your own fighting style around a compact action deck. Read enemy intentions, combine attacks, parries, techniques and spells, and develop your hero freely across Warrior, Mage and Assassin paths. Hybrid builds are expressly permitted. Sensible choices are merely recommended.

Between battles, explore regions, resolve multi-part cases, take on questionable jobs, and improve your equipment, alchemy, smithy and hero's home. Defeat does not erase your journey. Retreat, prepare, and return with better tools or a worse mood.

What begins as a woodland adventure eventually leads to Bracketbreak: a village of broken textures, stubborn hitboxes and authorities that have misplaced their own quest markers. Beyond the final plot hole waits a concluding chronicle that does not reliably respect the boundary between game and player.

Rather keep spiders officially out of sight? Enable Unicorn Protection in the settings. Clear spider imagery across the game – from case files and hunts to combat and the bestiary – is replaced by outrageously cute unicorns with disproportionately large eyes. Names, text and gameplay remain unchanged. The dignity of Duskwood does not.
