Call to Arms

With some mods like Warfighter this is easily a 8/10 classic RTS game for those who love modern warfare games with MBT tanks suck as Abrams and Leopard and T80/T90 as it does modern combat far better than War thunder online MMO cringe. for me the game is a 9/10 tho :) , have a good day and enjoy gaming if you do my brothers and sisters comrades!

doesn't work, always crashes for years now.

I absolutely love Call to Arms: Gates of Hell Ostfront (another game by this studio), so I thought I'd give this one a try. I like the modern setting but the game has a lot of bugs and lacks so many features, even compared to the older Men of War : Assault Squad 2. For example, there's very few vehicles for each nations, the said vehicles struggle to target infantry if they have a tank gun or an autocannon (as in machineguns will deal with them fine, but if they have a 105mm gun they wont shoot at infantry and will just stare at it instead) and the armor mechanics aren't good. In CtA; GoH Ostfront the tanks have fixed armor values and the shrapnel is realistically modelled, so combined arms warfare is actually fun. In the regular Call to Arms, vehicles just have a health bar and a basic armor level, as in a machinegun won't penetrate a tank but a RPG will dela the same amount of damage regardless of where you aim. I want to love this game but I can't in the state it's in. I understand a lot of the devs were in Ukraine and I hope they are okay. I will absolutely buy the game again the day it gets updated.

I really dont like this series, its more tactical then Company of Heroes 1&2, but less enjoyable. 2/10 Points.

One of the best RTS and one of the best FPS games ever made. The RTS game plays a lot like Company of heroes in that you call in squads with resource points and use them to take and secure zones, but the gameplay is much more slow-paced and tactical than CoH. Every soldier is an individual that can be controlled independently and even has its own inventory. Things like cover for infantry and armor for tanks are simulated with quite a degree of depth. And if you get tired of the RTS, you can set up a skirmish game filled with bots, take direct control of one of your soldiers, and play it like an FPS. Battlefields are destructible just like in a Battlefield game. In fact, I'd say that if you're looking for something like BF but without the headaches that come with a competitive multiplayer game, this is probably one of your best options.
