It's a nice chill, cozy game. First time playing and I logged over 6 hours. Not the type of game I'll play all the time, but definitely something to play when I need some chill time. Also, if you're on PC I suggest turning cross platform off because as soon as I did the annoying people who get up in your face and follow you around like stalkers (and I mean follow you from one end of the map to the other) disappeared. lol

I've had a lot of fun with Call of the Wild: The Angler and I think it's a really good game with a lot of potential. The atmosphere is great, the maps are beautiful, and just relaxing while fishing can be a lot of fun. That being said, it's disappointing that the game is no longer receiving updates. It feels like there was still so much more that could have been added, and without new content the game starts to lose its replay value. One thing I personally miss is a bigger challenge. I originally came from theHunter: Call of the Wild, and I always looked at the Legendary Fish as the equivalent of the Great Ones. Unfortunately, they don't really feel that special. They're always on the map and, once you know where they are and have decent gear, they're actually pretty easy to catch. That takes away a lot of the excitement and satisfaction. In general, once you have reasonably good equipment, the game becomes too easy for my taste. I would have liked to see more difficult fish, rarer encounters, or mechanics that make catching legendary fish feel like a real achievement. Overall, I still think it's a great game and I don't regret playing it. It has a solid foundation and a lot of potential, which makes it even more disappointing that development seems to have stopped. Hope this helps :)
C'est un jeu de pêche. Je m'y attendais et en même temps je ne peux m'empêcher de me demander: Pourquoi j'ai acheté ce truc? Un excès, un élan de gaieté, ou un oublie de moi-même dans la plénitude du matin? Je ne sais pas, et les poissons nagent...
After searching for a fun fishing game, I ended up here and do not regret buying it even after the announcement of no more updates. It's a good looking fun game with nice progression and an OK UI. I couldn't enjoy the F2P models of other big fishing games and if you catch this one here on a sale you won't go wrong. It's more on a fun and arcady playstyle and not really a deep simulation but that would suck anyway imo.
