About
BURN is a psychological horror game set aboard a derelict, gothic space station. As an investigator sent to the convent station St. Maria, you must uncover the fate of its six missing crew members and piece together the unsettling truth lurking within its halls.
Zero gravity first person movement - propel yourself through the environment with unique 3 dimensional movement
Horror based around building paranoia and a sense of impending doom
A short experience intended to last around an hour
Immersive UI and systems
Environmental storytelling
Set in the convent station "St. Maria" find the 6 missing crew members and unravel the mystery of the station as danger draws near. Reroute power to each section of the ship and discover what lies waiting.
We understand that the zero gravity movement can cause motion sickness in some players, and have added a multitude of settings to combat this, like an FOV slider, a motion blur toggle, and a VR inspired additional vignette.

Really cool indie game! The environment and graphics are very ps1 reminiscent and thats so sick
The vibes and eeriness of this game - incredible. You feel so isolated but can also tell something is off. I think the navigation mechanic is very unique but also made playing this game much more difficult if you have carefree mouse movement. I was crashing into basically every surface you can imagine... But overall, super cool game that I absolutely recommend if you are a fan of eerie spooky space themes!!!!

What can I say about BURN after playing it? I'm really 50/50 here on it. PROS: - it's inexpensive, and even less expensive on sale - it's short ... I took my time and it took 77 minutes to finish. - Pixely graphics (if you like that) CONS: - wonky controls and control set-up - confusing and not well explained - pixely graphics (I don;t like them) - didn't find the atmosphere scary .. just confusing - got stuck in several places (adding time to play) - no replayability factors - no real story, just snippets of something that happened - disappointing, confusing ending Overall, I was really kinda disappointed, and was considering refunding.... but I won't refund. For me, the poor graphics quality, wonky controls, lack of coherent story, and lack of any real replayability factor really were the most disappointing aspects of the game. I feel like ... if you took DEAD SPACE, removed the necromorphs, removed all story except a few snippets from chapters 2, 7, & 10, then made it first person in zero-g, and converted it to lo-res pixel graphics, you'd have BURN. Overall, I have to give BURN 2 out of 5 lit candles with a column of smoke from one smoldering candle... or 2.5/5.0 Altman be Disappointed.
This was better than I expected overall. The atmosphere and setting are pretty good. It mixes religion and sci fi fairly well for such a small indie experience. For some issues... There is a room you can't enter in one segment of the ship that is thankfully not needed, but looks fully open. You're blocked by an invisible wall. No other area in the game does this, so I assume it's a bug. The sound design is mixed. The voice acting is pretty poor to the point where it throws off the mood the game is trying to set, and the audio is strangely low quality. There is this weird 'spooky' sound que that seems to play on occasion, when absolutely nothing is happening. I have no clue what that's about. Other than that weird sound que, everything else about the 'horror' is pretty good and surprisingly subtle in a lot of places. I enjoyed the experience.
Rating: Dito: 4/5 Chat: 3.25/5 Gesamt: 3.63/5
