Buried: An Interactive Story

"Buried" gets an easy recommendation from me for any fans of horror short stories. The oppressive atmosphere created by the sound, simple visuals, and well paced writing made for a two-night playthrough that was frankly tough to stop on the first night. You get to make some choices throughout the story, and I immediately am having thoughts about going back through and seeing what happens with alternate choices. At the end of the game you get an option to sign up for Bromoco Games' newsletter which I happily did, but this game came out in 2016 and I do not see any others currently on Steam, which is a real shame. I'll be on the lookout for more like this.

Buried definitely delivered. The atmosphere was already being built from the very start and only continued to get better and better as the story progressed. Great concept, interesting characters, intense choice making to be had. 8/10 :)

really good suspenseful story

an incredible game. i've played it multiple times since it came out and it has stuck with me ever since. they really outdid themselves with this one

Interesting story, esp. at the beginning. Also, I highly recommend watching Markiplier's Let's Play for Buried... the story is only made all the better by his deep buttery voice.

[H1]Steam Deck Experience: Excellent[/h1] No Steam cloud save sync. It's a slow story, but it was still good. The backgrounds looked straight up real. Amazing scenes from the artists. The soundtrack was eh. I liked the touch where it compares your choices with other players. That was really neat.
