Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4/day in the week to Aug 22 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Bugsnax is a charming creature-catcher that I first became aware of back when it was first revealed. I remember being intrigued by the seemingly cartoony nature of it, but the trailer hinted at a darker undertone to the story, so when I saw it for sale on Steam recently, I decided to finally pick it up and play it. The best part of Bugsnax is catching the Bugsnax. Some require you to get real creative with your tools and surroundings to catch, resulting in very satisfying gameplay. This isn't like a traditional creature-catcher where you fight them, it's about laying traps and lures which is something I haven't seen in other games of the genre. Throughout the game, you will be tasked to regroup the townsfolk, called "Grumpuses" who have spread out through the island. To be honest, many people praise the characters in this game, and while I found some to be charming and interesting, half of them I dreaded having to listen to. Maybe it's the dialogue, maybe it's the body horror, because as you progress, you'll have to feed the grumpuses bugsnax, which turns their limbs and body into food parts. That made it hard to take them seriously for me. The story otherwise is good, I liked the mystery, I liked the ending a lot, I would say the trailer is a bit misleading though. The end of the trailer depicts a monster made of bugsnax parts in the night attacking the camera, but this creature never appears in gameplay. It is mentioned as having been witnessed near the start and it appears later in a cutscene, but never interacts with the player. You actually can't take damage in the game, nor die. As much as it keeps you engaged in the general gameplay loop, it takes all the stakes away from the bugsnax that can attack you, especially the bosses. Most of why I decided to play was the intrigue of the monsters in the cutesy bug food game, so I was quite disappointed to see none of that. Catching the bugsnax was hella fun though. 7.5/10

i love speedrunning this game
Caza bichos hechos de comida de todas las formas posible, me encanta
Weird, fun, and queer. Bugsnax manages to be unique while also bringing a sense of nostalgia and even a little bit of creepiness. It brough me a lot of joy while playing, definitely a recommend!
очень классная игра
Sunk 13 hours all the while saying "i dunno it can be better" The food animals are pretty cute but the muppets are a little too human (but in like a boring way), and what the hell is up with the muppet body horror when you feed them? If they make a bugsnax 2 tho I'm prolly picking it up
very fun
Holy crap, this game is genuinely a masterpiece. I would gladly give up all my money for a second game.
This game is a bright and colourful adventure that I can easily recommend to almost anyone. It is especially funny when you watch them put the pieces together about the world around them. The fun from this game comes from observing the Bugsnax around the world and discovering their quirks and habits in order to capture them, only then can you transform your friends into horrific abominations. To anyone who plays this for the first time and notices the dark implications, the game is aware of what it is doing. Highly recommended.
this game is my lifeblood
