About

Run, jump, glide, and roll across alien planets, battle robotic sheep, and collect tons and tons of yarn. What could possibly go wrong?
Bubsy’s longstanding enemies, the fleece-obsessed Woolies, have stolen all of the Earth’s sheep. Oh well, that ain’t Bubsy’s problem. Until the sheep overthrow their captors and return as deadly BaaBots, empowered by Woolie technology, determined to steal Bubsy’s most prized possession, The Golden Fleece.
With the help of his motley crew of acquaintances, Bubsy must journey through space to defeat the BaaBots and take back the Golden Fleece. Luckily, he’s acquired some new skills to navigate the expansive, craft-themed levels. Bubsy can leap, glide, claw his way up walls, and pounce off enemies. He can also puff up into a new hairball form to roll at blistering speeds.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I don't know why they made the first good (official) Bubsy game but they did actually do it. Somehow manages to also feel true to the previous games, which should probably be an illegal thing to do.
Background
The infamous, wise-cracking bobcat has returned to 3D in a new platforming adventure. Bubsy is back with new challenges, new moves, and even more purrsonality. Run, jump, glide, and roll across alien planets, battle robotic sheep, and collect tons and tons of yarn. What could possibly go wrong?
Praise!
What can I say? I'm glad Bubsy came back! The movement is immaculate, the art style and levels are great. While I'm not a speed runner myself, the things I have seen are insane! The story is simple, Bubsy gets dragged into finding Golden Yarn Balls in the levels as he is the only one physically able to do so. Speaking of Bubsy himself, it's great to see him again! I'm one of a "special" group of people that liked the original trilogy. The First game was the best, 2nd one was more nonsensical, and 3D was rough but honestly I've seen worse games then that, so I did not really understand the hate for it, especially since I could tell that there was love and ambition put in the game, does not mean that it worked out for them, but I think the industry would have been better if more people like the lead dev Michael Berlyn led the charge in the industry, more on him later. The characters are a joy to hear from and be around, I was always excited to see what they said and did in each level, Bubsy himself has grown up since his trilogy, and has become a guy I personally would love to hang out with! He very much comes off as a harmony of opposites. A brave coward, ambitious while also being lazy, while being a bit dumb his love and kindness to his friends and family has certainly not taken a hit. I even heard a theory that Bubsy is on the spectrum which after playing the game, I tend to agree with, he has many lines that repeat, however he says them in different ways so it's not just a pure reused voice line, rather it's an intentional part of his character. The other characters generally treat him a bit poorly since they hold him to his past self's standards back when he was a bit of a scrub, (With the exception of Terry who can do no wrong and loves Bubsy.) but they slowly grow to accept, appreciate, and love him fully.
Gripes/Wishes
The only think I wish to be a part of the game is a New Game Plus mode, I want to go through all the levels and cutscenes again with all the unlocked abilities and skins he has, especially with the recent Blackhole update! But as it stands, you cannot and have to get them all again. While not a big issue, I just want to go throuugh the levels at a brisk and relaxed pace while seeing how the new skins look in cutscenes.
Overall!
This was a really fun game, well worth a playthrough and your hard earned money if you can spare it! Michael Berlyn would be proud, and in saying I must give him a mention as he died in March 2023 and thus never got to see Bubsy, a character he fathered, gain wide stream praise and appreciation. From what I seen and heard, he was an amazing guy with a love for his craft, he is missed greatly. It's good, but it feels about half the length it needs to be? Needed a more epic final world, and as someone who grew up with the original I was hoping for some more cartoony worlds. Fundamentals are great, there's a bit too much ball rolling for my liking though. I'd recommend grabbing it on sale, I enjoyed it but 3 worlds isn't enough
This game feels like Bubsy's version of Super Mario Galaxy. It is filled with intricate platforming, and collectables. It is also a bit like Spyro the Dragon. I remember more than a decade ago wanting a Bubsy game that was like Spyro and I think someone read my mind. This is Bubsy's best game to date but that is not saying much given the franchise's history. This is a game I recommend for any fan of 3D platformers and collectathons. This game is short but it is very sweet. Kind of like Jumping Flash.
I enjoyed the heck out of this game! One for any platformer fan. The platforming felt good, and this kind of cartoon tone is a great direction. It's a tentative start, but if the developers take everything that worked about this and expanded on it, they could be onto something amazing.
