It takes a little getting used to, but once you know your way around it is an intriguing game. The title is apt as most of the game play is in the brewery, getting the ingredients together and producing enough beers for the pubs in the next few days. Getting the staffing right and not overworking them (costing you overtime) is also key. There are plenty of jobs that increase a person's experience, but others that have no value, such as cleaning and driving, so don't have your brewers cleaning your vats as they are losing vital experience points! I play with a whiteboard with me, keeping track of my pub's sales and requirements and planning my brew day to keep up with demand. I am very hands on and manually brew the beers rather than using the automatic way, but it slows the game considerably. A few things I would improve are the ability to move the staff around to find my many drivers and vat cleaners and typing in the amount of grains, hops and yeast I need to avoid the repetitive strain injury and the health of my poor mouse! A zoomable map would be useful too as I like to see the numbers of customers in the pubs as the time ticks on. It is a seriously addictive game once you are through the learning stages and happy with the way the game works, so be careful!

Don't buy this game if you don't like micromanagement. Reason why I still recommend? The ideo of this game is SO good! Only downside is the micromanagement... I'm neutral as to the micromanagement, but I would like it much more if I wouldn't have to click so much... (if anyone needs an idea for game development, try this beer theme, I really like it)
