About

Do you miss running your finger along the spines of all your game boxes, deciding what you might be in the mood to play? Do you long for instruction manuals, inlays, and that intoxicating plasticky smell when you crack open a new box and bury your nose inside. Ahhh.
BOXROOM is a shrine to all of that; a little space to call your own, and a way to explore and interact with your game library in a more meaningful way.
It's a throwback to the bedrooms and game-spaces of yesteryear - a place for shelves, cabinets and curated displays, for posters, figurines and collectors items.
It's also a game, if you want to call it that; a design/decorator-sim giving you the space to put a stamp on your Steam library and game collection. After setting up your room and preferred shelving arrangement, the game will boot your ACTUAL Steam library onto the shelves - giving you space to arrange, curate and explore your collection as you see fit.
Put your feet up! Sit back and soak in the space.
You can then share your room with a friend (or your mortal enemy I suppose) to show off your collection in all its glory.

Reviews
Seems none of the negative reviews read the game info that mentions the previous automatic method of getting game art was vetoed by Steam management. The devs are essentially FORCED to do things the way they do right now. Modding tools added in a recent update are VERY easy to use! *Doesn't* require installing a version of Unity like many other games, instead you just get a 3d model in a certain format and use the game's built-in mod wizard. My only criticisms: - Navigating the different catalogs is a little clunky - Very small basic bugs seem to pop up a lot, like wall mounted furniture mods being broken or music search not being recursive. Overall though, I like it!
