About

Do you miss running your finger along the spines of all your game boxes, deciding what you might be in the mood to play? Do you long for instruction manuals, inlays, and that intoxicating plasticky smell when you crack open a new box and bury your nose inside. Ahhh.
BOXROOM is a shrine to all of that; a little space to call your own, and a way to explore and interact with your game library in a more meaningful way.
It's a throwback to the bedrooms and game-spaces of yesteryear - a place for shelves, cabinets and curated displays, for posters, figurines and collectors items.
It's also a game, if you want to call it that; a design/decorator-sim giving you the space to put a stamp on your Steam library and game collection. After setting up your room and preferred shelving arrangement, the game will boot your ACTUAL Steam library onto the shelves - giving you space to arrange, curate and explore your collection as you see fit.
Put your feet up! Sit back and soak in the space.
You can then share your room with a friend (or your mortal enemy I suppose) to show off your collection in all its glory.

Build, design and arrange your game room
Populate your shelves with your actual game library, direct from Steam
Search the BoxCo Catalogue for your preferred furniture and furnishings
Secret figures, collector's editions and upgrades based on certain games - how many are hiding in your collection?
Pick up, inspect and re-arrange your game-boxes as you see fit
Boot your games....from BOXROOM!
Share your rooms with friends and show off your collection
Integrate your own items and textures with Steam Workshop functionality.

Very cute! reminds me of animal crossing with the decorating! Really like that you can also add your own custom artwork to pretty much anything that lets you edit images with so thats pretty cool! Recommend it if you wanna add more flare to your digital gaming library! :D

its good it just needs some stuff like making the music system easier or sizing items as a thing but other wise good
The government doesn't want you to know this, but you can play Boxroom. You can make custom models, game boxes, and music and access them all in a virtual space. its only $8. I have a sick gamer pad.
In all seriousness, Boxroom is a simply spectacular game. Sure, it has some bugs here and there, it's early access after all, and to get boxart efficiently you do need the wizard, but this whimsical environment entertains me to no end even to just sit and admire my collection, and I am proud to be witnessing the development of this hidden gem. Think of it like this: Houseflipper interior design, though rather than a traditional house you carve out rooms in an... expanse of walls. Backrooms headass. The purpose of this room, however, is to take your Steam Library and give them all "physical" game cartridges that you can even launch the applications from. You can also add custom games from external sources like Itch.IO and Gamejolt just by slapping all your desired info in and linking the .exe to the launch. Display your screenshots and other assorted pictures in a variety of frames, posters, and even some furniture decals. This just in: You can make CD boxes for a collection of MP3s (or other audio formats) to play on the radio too! Plus, the Steam Item Workshop just opened up, and new placeables are flooding in just like in the aforementioned Houseflipper. Most of the custom asset procedures are explained well in the game, but if you have any trouble you can always come to the discord-- People are super friendly there, including the devs themselves! I've spent the majority of my time since discovering it in the discord and it's just as much of a delight as the game itself. If you like being OCD, decorating, or simply are nostalgic for the physical media Playstation wants to put to rest, come spit in the megacorpos' faces with us. There's always room in Boxroom!
I like this game or launcher, i bought it on sale with the hope to launch non steam and steam games from one hub. It doesnt have it but its a small team and giving them hope and faith these features will come. I want to wait to build in a one hub when these features come. The customization is lacking currently but they have it all planned out on their roadmap and i hope there will be mods that bring more assests too. If you want to support the idea buy it now but if you want a really fleshed out multi platform launcher launcher that does full art covers on every box right now just wait to get it.
Recommended 44 hours in, and somehow I've probably spent almost as much time modding it as actually playing it. The idea is simple: build a room and display your game collection. But it's surprisingly relaxing just organizing shelves, decorating, and making the room your own. What has kept me around though is the developers. They've been really open to feedback and bug reports, and they're happy to chat with the community. I've reported bugs, suggested features, helped test things, and even ended up making a few mods because the game made me want to tinker with it. It's still Early Access, so expect a few rough edges here and there. I've definitely run into bugs, but I've also watched them get fixed over time, and that's something I appreciate. If you're the kind of person who likes organizing collections, decorating spaces, or just enjoys games that let you make something your own, I'd say it's worth picking up. It has that "one more thing before I quit" feeling... and suddenly you've spent another couple of hours moving boxes around or designing a new Room. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing love the devs to!
Really solid game. Missing some functionality on the steam deck, but I’d definitely recommend to anyone using windows. It works best if you have a big steam library, but you can also add custom games to create your dream collection. The museum update is also very fun.
I've been playing in my free time for a couple days, having a blast. If you put in 30ish minutes to learn the tools, the game has some in-depth room customization due to the built in Mod Studio with Workshop. A lot of features I'm not currently seeing in the game have been requested by others so I'm hoping the devs will add them. The potential this game has is crazy. I'm loving chilling in the room more than launching/organizing my games (I'd love to see some more interactable items in the room itself. Maybe even arcade minigames that run on the ingame computer or something.) For the price it's definitely worth it if you want a zen gaming room builder.
