Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.86/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not really a 'bad' game though it says a lot that I started this many times before finally sitting down to play the base game through to the end; I also didn't want to continue after I'd done the main story, partly due to the jarring nature of the DLC and the fact it didn't really make sense in context. I tried, but quickly realised that I wasn't having fun, so stopped. There are definitely issues with the game, if you're playing Nisha as a sniper (which I was) then her ultimate is basically pointless in the latter half of the game, due to an old bug which stops the tracking from working properly. Enemies also clip through the floors and ceilings frequently, and they can shoot through walls; at one point I got stuck at a resurrection point because it was spawning me into a room in which an enemy was shooting me through the floor. One of the bosses got stuck in a glitch state that I couldn't recover from, which meant the fight went from being insanely tough to trivially easy. Pacing is all over the place, sometimes it really feels like a grindfest and if you're playing this solo, it suffers from the Borderlands problem of everything being relatively easy except for the bosses, at which point you have to stop and grind out a couple of levels (listen to an audio book or something) before you can continue. The last two bosses were also weirdly easy compared to the two before it, which confused me immensely but contributed to the feeling of pacing being *off*. Space is... annoying? I understand that the developers wanted the game to feel like a new experience compared to Borderlands 2, but in reality the O2 elements just felt like a gimmick for the sake of a gimmick, and it would have been better as an expansion pack or DLC for Borderlands 2, rather than being a standalone game. On the whole, the Pre-Sequel isn't bad, but it does feel like a fan-fiction attempt to write more humour in the style of Borderlands 2, which doesn't do it credit as it comes across as shallow and 'so random' in the worst way. It bridges a gap and answers some questions, but I'd wager most gamers would get a better experience watching a speed run on YouTube, or skipping to the movies. Still, in hindsight it's better than Borderlands 3, and I haven't even bothered with 4; so I suppose time has looked more kindly on the forgotten step-child of the Borderlands series. It would have been better if the developers hadn't just dropped support for it when it became clear it wasn't going to be as popular as the second instalment though.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I have enjoyed many parts of this game and would recommend to others.
I used to think this game sucked. now I look at borderlands 3 and 4 and realize I took this for granted
Not a bad game at all, but it's definitely a "side game", with story decisions that will never lead anywhere and characters introduced or focused on we'll never see again. Play it to get the backstory of Handsome Jack, stay for the ridiculous Claptrap DLC, but leave the rest.
If you want to start to play the Borderlands series you should start with this one, to understand better the characters. Truly recommend this FPS game. Already with 50 hours played and loving it .- on a road to possibly 200 hours or more, completing all in this game
good
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel is a master class in how to make a game. As a Borderlands title, the writing is absolutely outstanding and the playable characters are some of the most likeable in the entire series, in my opinion. This game takes Borderlands 2 and turns it on it's head with fresh, new mechanics like Oz kits, the grinder, laser guns, and the introduction of cryo weaponry. 2K Australia really hit it outta the park with this one, in all respects. Though the game isn't long, it's also not short. I feel it fits perfectly in that sweet spot of how long a game should be. Some of the characters can be a bit grading (looking at you Pickle) but you can feel the love and passion these writers had for this franchise oozing out of every aspect of this game! RIP 2K Australia, you will be missed.
