Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.86/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
While I can recognize its attempts to innovate, that doesn't stop this game from feeling like an uneccsary mid-quel. Pros: - Has BL2 as a base. Cons: - Pretty much everything else.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

i hate this game the gameplay is like borderlands 2 but the world design and story suck 3/10
It's like Borderlands 2's little brother, the same DNA but not as good. That being said the o2 kit adding double jumping is a great addition, and the space theme is great. Rating: 7.5/10
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel follows the same gameplay formula that defines the series. Developed by 2K Australia with assistance from Gearbox Software, the game keeps the core mechanics intact: fast FPS combat, randomized loot, skill trees, and cooperative gameplay. Mechanically, it still works well. Shooting enemies, collecting ridiculous numbers of weapons, and experimenting with character builds remains fun, just like in the previous games. The low-gravity environments and oxygen mechanics on the moon add a small twist to movement and combat, giving the gameplay a slightly different rhythm compared to Borderlands 2. However, the story clearly takes a step down in quality. The game focuses heavily on Handsome Jack and his transformation into the villain players know from Borderlands 2. While that concept sounds interesting, the execution doesn’t feel as strong. Some characters are entertaining, but the narrative overall lacks the same impact as the previous game. Ironically, the most memorable character in the entire prequel is Claptrap, the comic relief of the series. His presence and the absurd situations surrounding him steal the spotlight more than the main story itself. The moments involving his chaotic personality — especially his ridiculous alter ego moments — are easily the highlights of the game. Despite the weaker narrative, the game is still entertaining. The core Borderlands formula is strong enough that even when the story doesn’t shine, the gameplay loop remains enjoyable. Because it follows the established formula so closely, fans of the series will appreciate it much more than newcomers. Long-time players will enjoy seeing more of the universe and characters, while new players might have fun but probably won’t remember the experience for long. In fact, looking back, I don’t remember many specific moments from this game—except for Claptrap and his ridiculous antics. In the end, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a decent entry in the franchise. It doesn’t reach the level of Borderlands 2, but it’s still worth playing if you enjoy the series.
Better than Borderlands 2.
compared to borderlands 2, this game is not good. I don't know why but the gunplay feels very very off. your character is super floaty by design. enemies either stand still or twitch all over the place and ridiculous aggro range of wildllife mobs. the map is unintuitive to navigate and the game force you to walk a lot. driving is very unfun. you just need to read a story recap somewhere. not recommended for a playthrough at all.
Not great but way better than the new ones
