14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

The performance was dire when I played and also. Just look at the first 3s of the first preview. Everything looks WAY too refined for a BL game. Where's the messy handstrokes, the linework that's just a little off. Where's the texture. Honestly it feels, and looks like an ubisoft game. Which isn't really a compliment. For a BL game I want that rugged style, the guns with mouths the guns that can nuke you if you mess up. That's the game I played for hundreds of hours. This is like getting a piece from picasso and making it modern. An absolute disappointment of what could've been my new favourite game or even game of the year. A real SHAME.
I nervously purchased this at a steep discount off of GMG after reading lots of negative reviews. To my surprise, it didn't turn out nearly as bad as I expected. Is it poorly optimized? Yes, but I've had much worse experiences with other titles and no one had any complaints about those. I'm not going to touch on developer-community interactions, but purely on playability and game content. As far as I'm concerned it's about what I've come to expect from the franchise. It's got low brow humor and the jokes are explained out for you, despite needing absolutely zero explanation. It is so bad that I honestly believe it was written by someone with autism, or FOR someone with autism, or both. I mean no ill will towards those with autism--they have their place in society, but someone keep them away from the script. Is this what gen-z thinks is humor? Does every bite of every meal have to be pre-chewed for them? I mean sure, it's perfect for the quick fix dopamine cycle kids. God help us if they have to think about something for it to be funny. ♥♥♥♥ you if you think you're going to light up any additional neural pathways with a hot zinger of a joke that does anything more than bounce off of their forehead. Remember, there is liability in forcing guffaws upon them as they have not mastered the art of breathing and swallowing spit in rapid succession. "I NEED TO KISS, BUT I CAN'T CAUSE I'M A ROBOT" --paraphrased from yaptrap; cue sitcomlaugh.wav. What even is this ♥♥♥♥? This dialogue should not even exist. It reminds me of the current SNL in its ongoing desperation to remain relevant. Set scene: a cripple attempts to climb the proverbial or literal corporate ladder, but can't, because his legs don't work. He then points out to the crowd that his legs don't work. "Ha-ha, I can't climb it, because my legs don't work." Aromatically speaking, it smells of a fart from a city block away. "IT'S A REFERENCE!" scream the reddit moderator sitting behind me. Thank you, /r/iamverysmart. Is there some meta-humor in this joke that was explained when no explanation was necessary in the first place? I honestly cannot tell. Or is the joke that corporate America thinks this is what we consider amusing? Is it that these jokes are so bad they can lead me down a rabbit hole of existential crisis? I can't say for sure. What I can say is that the humor here is the equivalent of soylent green and you're one step closer to being plugged into the matrix and having your prostate milked for protein for consuming it and enjoying it. Imagine if you distilled Norm Macdonald through a series of infinitely-finer coffee filters until he was molecularly and mechanically separated into a homeopathic friendly vapor that happened to infiltrate your sinuses and you've got the general idea of the potency involved in these jokes. It ain't even Lacroix. Performance wise: I urge you to recall that the previous titles were wildly cartoony and embrace that because you're going to be running it on minimum and despite the potential for greater things you will in fact be playing a game that looks like it is from 2008. The developer has tried to make it something it is not--which is both hyperreal and cartoony simultaneously. There is mutual culpability here between developer and consumer because the demand from the community dictates we need need to be able to inspect the peach fuzz on a rodent's ballsack from 20 feet away and the shareholders are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid or greedy enough to insist it becomes a defining feature of the game. We then scream in agony when our hardware is incapable of rendering it. Just forget about it looking like or performing like a fine-tuned AAA title unless you're cloud computing this ♥♥♥♥ from a data center. I run this ♥♥♥♥♥ in 4k with low settings and FSR turned on to ultra performance and I'm hitting 90-100 fps consistently with yesteryear's hardware and it looks plenty good. My wife is running it on a i7-7700(NON-K VARIANT) and manages reasonable FPS around 60-70. Does it look great? No, it does not, but it runs and looks decent and we can go on with our lives. If we demanded more quality content in games and gave less of a ♥♥♥♥ about what it looks like we may in the future see inspiration in games when the developers get a break from corporate overlords cracking whips at their backs to please all mouths at once. In short: It's not as bad as anyone has made it out to be and too many fedora tipping ass goblins are afoot to get an unbiased perspective on this game. Additionally: I hate all of you, no one is safe, lock your doors at night.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 316.29/day in the week to Sep 15 → 106.25/day in the week after.
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 340.86/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've played all previous Borderlands games. I even tolerated BL3 because despite horrible writing I was able survive because playing mech lady was fun. First I had trouble finding ONE interesting character to pick. They are so... random. So I decided to pick booba lady they just added. Writing... writing is horrible. I just begged that there is a "skip dialogue" button similar to Crimson Desert. But no - I have to listen to this garbage. Shooting feems OK but scopes are so bad I just started using hipfire all the time. I had enough. I have top of the line PC. 5090, NVMe. No game cause troubles for me. Yet this garbage despite taking FOREVER to do shader compilation still stutter. This is a garbage beyond garbage. No interesting heroes, guns looks like crap, I had my loot filled so I was just rotating junk because sell points are not often and backpack is way too small and I did not even begin to do side content. Bosses are just bad. No challenge at all. Ton of hp. BOOOORING to fight. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
The performance is atrocious. Also a postive review can be upgraded in a few years. You shouldve bought the super deluxe review when it came out.
Borderlands dropped the ball. The writing is the worst since borderlands one. The magic is dead. this game is super boring and the weapons are boring and not fun like previous games. The games hallmark have been over the top bullet insanity with unhinged guns and abilities that are somehow well balanced by gameplay. Thats not happening here.
This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks!
Borderlands the fourth is the weakest of the mainline numbered borderlands games by a wide margin The gunplay is great and the builds you can make are pretty good on all characters but that's it for the positives Nobody cares about the story of borderlands but this game makes sure you don't by having the least interesting characters and plotline in the series thus far, the timekeeper is woefully uninteresting as a main villain, none of his cronies do anything besides exist for a story chunk to call you a moron occasionally and die when it's time to go somewhere else.
Arjay did not need to exist outside of the tutorial, I cannot fathom why they decided he was so important to this games plot.
Your allies in this game follow a similar fate. Rush, Levaine, Zadra and Defiant Calder are not memorable or particularly interesting on their own(I do kinda like levaine for her banter with Zane tho.) This games biggest sin is the open world however. This may be the only open world game I have ever played where the open world serves zero purpose. There is no reason to explore because all of the Auger Mines + Order Bunkers + Bandit waves fights (Idk the name in game) are exactly the same and you never want to replay them (Especially on future playthroughs.) Driving between areas is a slog since nothing mandatory happens between objectives so its just quietly driving for 3+ minutes to whatever objective, doing a task that takes ~5 minutes, then driving back to where you got the quest in silence again. The map is also designed poorly for an open world, with most areas having a single way to access them so you just follow the line your ECHO leaves and brainlessly follow it because if you don't you'll never find the entrance to whatever fast travel area they hid inside some corner of a mountain. On top of all of this the devs and gearbox as a whole have basically abandoned this game. Nobody on the team is advertising or hyping up this game anymore because they have to know by now it just sucks. There is a fundamental issue with how this game was designed that can't be patched out and they would rather just move on rather than try and fix this $80 mess of a game 3/10
Wait to buy until its actually a completed game. A year or so more whenever the discounted bundle comes out and the characters are on equal footing. Biggest complaint is the lack of music. Coming from the other bl games its a massive disappointment listening to the same 4 garbage tracks in an open world game. Just mute it and play Spotify ffs
Played bl1 2 and 3 lots. 1200hours or more plus the xbox variants. 2 was alot of fun. 1200 hours 4 i just about got past the intro. 40 minutes? and then refunded. Reminded me of the pre sequel. meh Gfx meh. I have an old system but not slow. To get the game to run at above 60fps at 1440p a mix of medium detail and fsr was required. It doesnt look good like that. This bs purchasing model also sucks. get the PRo, Ultra, badass, ultra ultimate, badass ultra, ultimate ultmate pro.,., Or just dont.
