If you're not on reddit 24/7 you will enjoy the game, classic borderlands 2 humor with b3 gameplay and wonderlands builds. The open world can be hit or miss tho. People just have a hate boner for anything that isn't borderlands 2 (the only thing that stands the test of time is handsome jack, everything else falls short compared to the new games)

Was horrible at launch. But now is one of the best Borderlands games in the Franchise. Whole heartedyl recommend this. Just research how you can optimize the game on your hardware. Have played Borderlands 4 a ton on my steam deck and my pc and the experience has been great. Get the Super Deluxe Edition when it is on sale and get all the DLC with it as well for 50% off, it is well worth the money at that price point.

An extremely mid Borderlands game with poor performance, impressively average vault hunters, and a boring story in a series that continues to trek downhill and expects you to find 3 other people with lots of expendable income to keep up with the drip feed of mostly awful overpriced DLC content. Possibly worth it in some distant future where a bundle containing all content drops for cheap but until that day you're better off avoiding this game and revisiting ANY of the other games in this series for significantly cheaper. The only Borderlands I've regretted purchasing on release despite similar issues with every entry of the series (BL1,2,3 ALL had some AWFUL DLC with some worse than others). The trend of terrible DLC continues and as the price grows my desire for anything Borderlands related has dissipated into nothing.

Bought the game, looked at the character screen, read what they do, asked myself "where the ♥♥♥♥ is the sniper character? Pistols? Where is all the cool ♥♥♥♥?", closed the game and about to refund. Where the ♥♥♥♥ is the Borderlands part of the game? WHERE THE ♥♥♥♥ IS THE PART WHERE I'M GOING "HELL YEAH, I WANT TO TRY THIS AND THAT AND MAYBE A BIT OF THAT IN THERE TOO"? Game disappoints from the first frame ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Edit: The game runs like absolute garbage. Relying on FG yet again to fix incompetence, sad to see.

Borderlands 4, serinin o bildiğimiz çılgın yapısını modern teknolojilerle birleştiren oldukça başarılı bir yapım olmuş. Özellikle grafiksel anlamda Unreal Engine 5'in gücü kendini belli ediyor; atmosfer, renk paleti ve çevre detayları gerçekten harika gözüküyor. Tabii bu görsel sıçrama beraberinde bazı performans dalgalanmalarını da getirmiş; optimizasyon tarafı gelecekteki yamalarla daha iyi bir seviyeye çekilebilir ama bu haliyle de sunduğu dünya göz kamaştırıcı. Oyun bu kez bizi daha geniş ve açık dünya hissiyatı sunan devasa bölgelerle karşılıyor. Hikaye anlatımı bu geniş harita tasarımı yüzünden bazen kopuk hissettirebiliyor ve ana olay örgüsünü takip etmek zorlaşabiliyor. Haritalar arasındaki geçişlerin tam olarak kesintisiz olmaması ve açık dünyanın getirdiği serbestliğin bazen yapısal sınırlamalara takılması "neden tam açık dünya yapılmış?" sorusunu akıllara getirse de, her bölgenin kendi içindeki dikey mimarisi ve keşif hissi bu açığı kapatmayı başarıyor. Serinin en büyük alameti-farikası olan silah çeşitliliği ise bu oyunda ilginç bir evrim geçirmiş. Artık farklı silah üreticilerinin parçalarını (hybrid parts) aynı silah üzerinde görebiliyoruz. Bu durum loot havuzuna ve teorik olarak çeşitliliğe güzel bir dinamizm katmış. Gönül isterdi ki artık bu parçaları kendi isteğimize göre söküp takabileceğimiz tam bir modifikasyon sistemi gelsin; oyun hala eski usul "yere ne düştüyse odur" mantığını koruyor ve bu durum uzun saatler sonunda biraz tekdüze gelebiliyor. Yine de bu hibrit parça değişimi bile serinin geleceği için atılmış olumlu bir adım. Özetle; Borderlands 4 kusursuz bir oyun değil, hala çözülmesi gereken mekaniksel ve teknik pürüzleri var. Ancak o saf looter-shooter oynanış hissi, harika grafikleri ve sunduğu devasa içerik dünyasıyla türe ve seriye sadık olan her oyuncunun şans vermesi gereken, son derece eğlenceli bir yapım. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim!
