Don't recommend this game because of the new gacha mechanic. Bring back our spark!!

they aree changing the gacha system to hoyoslop
We had a good gacha you stupid son of a b*tch..
I'm a newer player and was kinda drawn in by the spark system since it was unique to the other games, now they're replacing that with 50/50 and popup ads and now i have no desire to play. good job nexon for ruining a perfectly good game
Game ruined by greedy executives who changed the pull system to a hoyoverse type of system while having 1/10th of the content and gameplay. Great lore and characters butchered by greed. Don't bother starting now.
god theres no much speaking between battles. wheres the actual fight
I love Blue Archive, but the recent changes announced for JP 5.5 are very concerning.

As it stands now, the current global gacha operates on a spark system for rate-up students; meaning that every student pulled equates to exchange points that can be spent on one of the current rate-up students once you have 200. (The main advantage of this is that you get to pick which featured student you want/need most). The replacement is a pity counter system, so now every 100 pulls yields a 50% chance at a rate-up student and 200 yields a guaranteed chance at a RANDOM current rate-up student. Extra emphasis on the random. Something to bare in mind here is that if you pull a rate-up character, your pity counter will reset; as opposed to exchange points which are perpetual until the end of a banner period, regardless of if/how many times you pull a rate-up prior. Essentially, with the current system, if you pull a rate-up before you have enough exchange points, you can still spend these exchange points for more Elephs or one of the other banner students that you want, which is important because sometimes there's up to three of these at a time. Now, a 50/50 pity system sounds good in theory; but the reality is that the new gacha system makes it harder, if not more expensive, to get specific banner students you want/need and harder to collect Elephs to level up their mystic during their banner period without having an exchange system. It's going to be a while before we catch up to JP but it's important to let Nexon know that this is a BAD idea sooner than later. TL/DR: JP gacha is being reworked into a pity system that resets every time you pull a rate-up student and also removing exchange points. Indirectly this makes things more expensive if you don't get the students you want on a banner with no way to select them manually after 200 pulls.
