About
The second scripture in the Blasphemous series portends the return of The Penitent One, with a story that continues from the free Wounds of Eventide DLC for the original game, where The Heart in the sky heralded the return of The Miracle and foretold the birth of a new miracle child.
Awakened in a strange new land, and displaced from his final resting place, The Penitent One is thrust back into the endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection, with no other option than to explore this perilous new world and uncover its long-forgotten secrets.
Hordes of grotesque enemies stand in your way, awaiting final judgement by the brutal hand of the Penitent One, with titanic twisted bosses also lurking in the darkness, waiting for their chance to return you to the grave from whence you came.
Taking them down won’t be easy, but with Blasphemous 2 offering more chances to customise and improve your skill set, along with several new unique weapons to wield with righteous zeal and unending fury, victory might just be within grasp.
Ultimately, only one thing is certain… Penance Never Ends
Having awoken in a strange new land, your journey starts anew in a series of enchantingly grotesque landscapes, oozing Gothic charm and littered with unforgiving traps. How you tackle the labyrinthian world remains at your discretion, there is no wrong turn to be made, only scores to settle
The Penitent One shows no mercy, and with a series of new weapons offering new moves, brutal executions, and expanded combos, destruction will rain on any that stand in his way

Blasphemous 2 offers up new ways to play, with the ability to customise and improve your base skillset, alongside several new unique weapons to unleash devastating attacks on enemies

Hordes of monstrous foes stand between you and your goal; twisted bosses with unique attack patters and sundering abilities will put your skills to the test as you fight to stand triumphant when the dust settles

A whole new world awaits, bustling with mysterious new NPCs to interact with, some will offer aid, some will ask for it, and others will send you on death defying missions to obtain long forgotten items. With so much to see and do, the stories and myths you encounter will help you unpick the games myriad of secrets, granting you a deeper understanding of this strange new world

79 hours later... I finally did it. What a journey. The platforming challenges? OOOOF. They almost turned me into a supervillain. 😭 There were moments where I was convinced my fingers had a built-in input delay. If I had just 20% faster reflexes, half of those challenges would've been free. Instead, I spent way too much time screaming, "COME ON, I PRESSED IT!" And yet... I can't even be mad. This game is phenomenal from start to finish. The exploration, the bosses, the world, the atmosphere—everything just clicks. And the soundtrack? It has absolutely no business being this good. It easily stands alongside the best music I've heard in any metroidvania. The best part is the memories. This game gave me so many weird, hilarious, frustrating, and unforgettable moments, and that's honestly pretty rare these days. Every time I finally beat a challenge after failing 50 times, I felt like I had just defeated the final boss of my own patience. I absolutely love metroidvanias, and playing this right after Hollow Knight felt like finding another treasure in the genre. What an amazing game. ❤️

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I tried playing the first game when it came out and didn't like it, this one fixes all the problems I had with the first one and was a super fun game. The castlevania level was a super nice surprise! Cool artstyle, fun combat, really fun and flashy platforming that isn't tedious like the first one. My only big complaint is how many collectables there are and how poorly they're handled. There are 7 (cherubs, sisters, gold, seeds, ghost girls, letters, and the statueworker tools) not counting any of your usable equipment like altars and rosary beads. I may even be forgetting a few honestly. Its just way too much and the game does not track which ones you have or don't, or mark the map of which ones you've gotten. So you have to write it down yourself or mark the map yourself. Pretty lame :(, but that's the only major complaint I have.
I think it's a very entertaining game with good graphics. Besides that, the implementation of new weapons greatly improved the gameplay and the forced search for new areas. 😋

好
the game series that got me into metroidvanias. 10/10
Loved the first game (that I just completed, so there is no nostalgia bias) but hate its sequel, wtf happened ? - The clean hand-drawn 2D cinematics are an odd choice for me, it doesn't work as well as the pixel art ones from the first game - The animation feels too cartoonish - Some enemies look like NBA Players (the tall ones with a stick dealing elemental damage) ?? Can't unsee it - Movements are clunky when they don't refuse to work. - It's frustrating to have to switch weapons in combat to unlock movesets to avoid damage, because I don't want to fight with the stupid no range no damage little blades - The "arena" rooms are poorly designed (they remind me of the worst parts of Silksong). Metroidvanias really need to stop doing this, this is cheap game design to artificially boost playtime. - The foreground art can hide the vicious small enemies - If you die too much, picking your fervour back still doesn't fully restore the bar. So you can't cast prayers anymore and have to go back to the city to wipe out the guilt, very fun. Feel free to git gud me TLDR : too frustrating, less charm, poor game design choices
