We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

About
The second scripture in the Blasphemous series portends the return of The Penitent One, with a story that continues from the free Wounds of Eventide DLC for the original game, where The Heart in the sky heralded the return of The Miracle and foretold the birth of a new miracle child.
Awakened in a strange new land, and displaced from his final resting place, The Penitent One is thrust back into the endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection, with no other option than to explore this perilous new world and uncover its long-forgotten secrets.
Hordes of grotesque enemies stand in your way, awaiting final judgement by the brutal hand of the Penitent One, with titanic twisted bosses also lurking in the darkness, waiting for their chance to return you to the grave from whence you came.
Taking them down won’t be easy, but with Blasphemous 2 offering more chances to customise and improve your skill set, along with several new unique weapons to wield with righteous zeal and unending fury, victory might just be within grasp.
Ultimately, only one thing is certain… Penance Never Ends
Having awoken in a strange new land, your journey starts anew in a series of enchantingly grotesque landscapes, oozing Gothic charm and littered with unforgiving traps. How you tackle the labyrinthian world remains at your discretion, there is no wrong turn to be made, only scores to settle
The Penitent One shows no mercy, and with a series of new weapons offering new moves, brutal executions, and expanded combos, destruction will rain on any that stand in his way

Reviews
Prostsza od jedynki, ale dużo przyjemniejsza w graniu, ostatni darmowy dodatek jest w fajnych klimatach Castlevanii, warto zagrać, polecam!
Picked up both the first and second game in this series, and while they are absolutely gorgeous with great story telling, the combat goes from mind-numbingly simple to "this weak little ♥♥♥♥ just keeps wiping you out" so quickly it'll make your head spin. Everything looks great, but it feels like the way the combat was programmed it's a lock-step movement with no fluidity from one action to the next. Maybe I'll play it again in the future and find it fun, but for right now I wouldn't recommend it.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Lo mejor que he jugado en mi vida desde el Blasphemous 1 el 2 es lo mejor
- Platforming is much better than first game, but prayers trivialize most encounters and a number of bosses. - Progression is solid, and they did away with obscure/missable quest objectives, which was my main gripe with game 1, because all that makes players like me do is play with a wiki open. Ruins exploration / playing blind - Game's world building and lore is not as intriguing as the first game, but then again the first game is practically unbeatable in this respect. - More weapons, all great, but some of the functionalities I'm used to having immediate access to in one weapon are now split across different ones that you're punished for switching between as you lose accumulated meter for that weapon's special ability. - I like platformers that don't feel the need to give you every typical mobility upgrade seen in platformers: air dash, double jump, etc. Not that having those ruin it for me, but it makes a platformer more unique. I liked how the first game approached everything without those tools; you had to be way more mindful about how you used your jumps, but then again the platforming wasn't as good as it is in this game.
Played Blasphemous 1 and 2, and I love Blasphemous 2 a lot more, the 1st game wasn't bad, but it can get frustrating at some point that I need to rest for a day or few days before playing it again. But I'm ok with playing Blasphemous 2 on my free time everyday. The Pros (in my opinion): + Movement feels more fluid and exploration has been more fun than the 1st game + You can double jump, air dash + Weapon variations that can make you try different weapon build + The bosses are more interesting and more fun than the 1st game The Cons: - There are some bugs related to achievement that still happening until now (read it on forums and the bug has been there for long and not fixed.) - The atmosphere feels weaker than the 1st one, the 1st one gave me an eerie feeling but at the same time I love it. - The weapon switch system feels a bit unsatisfying when it forced you to switch the weapon to clear some puzzle related thingy. - Reused enemies. For some of you it might be not for you if you really loved Blasphemous 1 because this game feels totally different than Blasphemous 1. The achievement bug that I've experienced so far are 2, the one with Veredicto kill count that's been stuck at 296/300, but eventually it reached 300 after I use Veredicto to explore Third Sin DLC area for 2 hours. and the other one is Rosary Bead achievement, that's been stuck at 15/27 when I already colected every single Rosary Beads. There's a funny bug if you pick DLC rosary bead it will kind of lock you out of the achievement so far I read the only solution is to restart a new save file and collect only the base game Rosary Bead. a bit dissapointed since I've been playing this game with 100% achievement in mind, but so far it's a good game. Edit: I tried to make a copy of my save file (with all Rosary Beads collected) to a 2nd slot from the save file folder and then suddenly the rosary bead achievement popped up 8/10 A good metroidvania game.
Loved the first one so I had to buy the second one. Recommend this to everyone
Blasphemous 2 is a very strong Metroidvania that combines rewarding exploration, satisfying combat, and a mysterious world heavily inspired by Christianity mythos. Its atmosphere and presentation immediately bring to mind classics like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, while still establishing its own identity through its grotesque art direction and distinctive setting. One of the game's strongest design choices is how each weapon serves a purpose beyond combat. Weapons are also exploration tools, meaning your starting choice can change which paths are immediately available and encourage revisiting areas as you acquire new abilities. The game is also packed with small quality-of-life improvements, such as automatically highlighting newly acquired items and marking NPCs on the minimap when they have something worth interacting with. Combat is further enhanced by prayers that feel impactful and varied enough to support different playstyles. The mysterious lore and religious themes create a strong sense of place, while secrets and alternate endings give exploration an additional layer of intrigue. The final encounter is also a particularly strong conclusion, tying together the game's lore and ending the experience on a high note. Overall, Blasphemous 2 is an excellent Metroidvania that delivers on exploration, combat, atmosphere, and progression. The free expansion, The Third Sin, somehow manages to improve upon an already strong foundation, adding excellent content and a fantastic new weapon. This is an easy recommendation for fans of the genre.
The Good
+ The difficulty felt very well balanced and appropriate for this kind of game, making the player struggle just enough to get a sense of achievement for overcoming the challenges but not so much as to discourage experimentation + Each weapon has its own exploration utility, making the player engage with every single weapon during the game + Prayers feel impactful but not mandatory and can definitely be built around + Many nice QoL features, like newly acquired items being automatically highlighted when opening the menu or NPCs displaying an exclamation mark on the minimap when they have something pending + The art style and music are well executed and a great match for the mysterious, religious nature of the lore + The free expansion is excellent, with great additions like companions and a new weapon + The in-game achievement section is a clever solution to Steam's DLC achievement limitations + Big fan of secret endings, glad this game makes good use of them + Didn't run into any relevant bugs or technical issues
The Bad
- Locked to 60 FPS when VSync is disabled - Death penalty could use a rework - currently it makes struggling players struggle even more by increasing the damage they take after each death - DLC achievements being included in the base game always makes me disappointed (also Steam's fault doe) - DLC content being placed inside the base game without clearly informing the player makes blind exploration unnecessarily confusing and frustrating For I am the First Penitent, and you shall be the last
9 / 10 - IGN
