"I waited for a time that cannot be told.
The Labyrinth is a dull, sterile and ordered space.
It is the embodiment of time and causality.
The harbinger of the Tyranny of Fate.
I played my part. I watched over the Labyrinth. I resisted the whispers.
I did not intervene. I did not count the unclean numbers.
But the Sign promises. It offers."

Reviews
Despite consisting almost entirely of untextured cubes with static lighting, BLACKSHARD manages to run at 40FPS and take up about as much space as *Skyrim*. It's the least optimized game I have ever tried.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is a wonderful game! It reminds me of Bleak Faith: Forsaken without the combat. It is a walking-puzzler where the graphics and inventive puzzles set it apart. The story is also excellent and mind-expanding in the best way. You can play it quickly, but as soon as you realize you can go almost anywhere in the world game-time is vastly expanded. I have almost 30 hours in the game, and will most likely go back for more in a few months, knowing there are still a couple of small details I missed. The devs have created a unique and beautiful world to explore!
A very good megastructure exploration game, and not just because the world is amazing to look at. As with any good expedition, it has you contemplating not just the realm you traverse, but what you're hoping to find amidst the "Tyranny of Fate". There's a lot more to find out there than you'd expect, the areas are a lot more vertical than you might anticipate, and the music is useful for setting the right mood when needed. I look forward to getting lost again as I try to find a worthwhile ending to my wanderings.
holy peak. one of the most visually impressive games ive played, the the games architecture is staggeringly vast, in a way that seems hard to properly encapsulate without walking for 20 minutes down that one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bridge only to end up somewhere you where 5 hours ago
I'm not a fan of walking simulators. At least, I haven't played many of them. I was looking for something with a "Lovecraftian flair" that wasn't horror. And I found Blackshard. This game is visually stunning. Honestly, so much so that the visual decisions at the end alone make it worth the time spent. The entire journey was a wonderfully esoteric experience, but Carcosa... Carcosa will forever remain etched in my memory, for my eyes is filled with its golden light.
