Fun arcade roguelike space monster hunter. Not without flaws, but satisfying combat.
Fun game worth trying it but not for 9€ because it feels like a free mobile game.
If the developer didn't abandon this and instead implemented a bunch of balance changes, this game would be genuinely amazing. It makes me angry how close this is to being really good so thumbs down.

Was excited to play but controls are very rigid and unpolished. Could be a good game if fixed.
a game i found by accident and god am i happy for that. the game is a top-down, rouge-like game, so every playthrough is diffrent. and with a rtocky soundtrack too! Pros: Lots of diffent kinds of enemys and bosses A bunch of weapon upgrades that make you feel liek a god on a surfboard! the game's artstyle is very pleasing to look at, the creatures look awesome aswell! charectors are fun and creative, and bander to each other everytime you complete a contract Cons: Some of the bosses are extremly difficult to dodge attacvks from, some are even garanteid to hit you. The selection of charectors, while being greate, dont really make much of a diffrence, some of their stats are just plain old bad. i am unsure if the devs are still working on the game, i would really like an expanion or an upates, since the boss variation can kinda feel samy at times even with some of its flaws i still feel this game is worth the small amount the devs charge for it, its a fun time waster!
I wasn't sure whether I would enjoy this game judging by mixed reception in reviews. I can say after having played it some things: -There is a large luck component, but for me the game was fun enough most of the time, and your risk of having to spend too long on enemies depends on what spear you chose as well. -Creatures are awesome, pretty creative game. It has a lot of character. -There is moderate jank on a relatively regular basis. -There was this one issue of the loading screen being stuck in limbo, pretty sure someone posted a fix in discussions but haven't tried it. -I found the movement okay enough, boosting a bit weird not sure. -I really loved the strategy involved in killing boss monsters, and even regular enemies, and that you feel rewarded for putting planning into your approach and use of your gear to destroy them limb from limb. -Final boss seems to ask a lot more of you and you kind of seem to need some limited loadout in mind prepared for it. -Having another option for avoiding damage would have been nice. -I think the bullet hell projectiles at often times later in the game do not suit the movement syle so well and you kind of need to use brute power to overcome the challenge before it overcomes you. My overall thoughts are that it is a fun romp, however the experience has not been tuned to completion, so as it stands it may be too coarse for prospective players. IDK
I honestly love this game to death. Currently in development or not, it's definetly one of my favorite games ever made. The way you battle giant creatures 100 times your size and slowly chip away at them, ripping off pieces and weakening them might be the most satisfying gameplayloop i have ever seen. As a fan of "death by 1000 cuts" styles of boss gameplay, I've had so many cool fights where i was able to flipp the powerdynamic after many minutes of dodging and picking my battles. One time i chased a giant stink-fly through the cosmos for half an hour, chopping of wings and weapons until it could barley move. I wish more games had that kind of satisfying "dismantling" of enemies. Creaturedesigns are also top notch. If the kickstarter was still going, I would definetly pay to get to add another creature into the game. If you're on the fence about buying the game, I'm here to tell you that the amout of fun you get for 7 ish dollars is more than worth it. Prepare to die, and you'll be swirving around, tearing out eyes and fins before you know it!
This is a lazy console ported "pseudo-retro" 2D top down twin stick procedurally generated "Shooter" with mild RPG elements tacked on. The idea is that you are a future-retro space whaler with a harpoon, because the slaughter of endangered whales is somehow appealing to the developers here. Lazy low-fi South-Park tier paper imagery is used as a substitute for modern PC graphics, possibly due to either lack of budget or talent or both. Regardless, the visual quality is woeful. Gameplay is on par with the visuals, lazy dead console tier twin-stick shmup with a bit of grappling. Half-Life, from 2 decades earlier, had better game mechanics. 20 years later, and here we are. The developer was unable to come up with decent level design or game/story flow/plot, so they opted to try to use samey repetitive procgen as a substitute for adding content to the game. As a result, the game doesn't actually have any content worth mentioning. Developers must learn that procgen is not content. So we have a console ported minimalist twin stick "shmup" of extremely poor quality, with procgen used instead of actually adding story/content to the game, so what's the price tag? 50c? 25c? Nope, $10 USD. Apparently the developer feels this is the same value as similarly priced games on sale like Far Cry: New Dawn, Frostpunk, Mafia 3, and The Crew 2. Think so? Because I don't.
It's a fun game but it takes work, but that's what makes it great as you feel you really earned your victory.
