Black Paradox is a roguelite shoot 'em up that drops you into the cockpit of a time-jumping bounty hunter, hunting down the most wanted criminals of the universe across waves of bullet-soaked chaos. Built on the language of classic arcade shooters, layered with modern progression systems, and soaked in neon-drenched retrofuture.
Every run is different. Every upgrade matters. Every boss is somebody you don't want to meet twice.
Fully redesigned visuals - Sprites, effects, UI: everything reworked from the ground up. The retrofuture aesthetic is finally where it always wanted to be.
Rebalanced difficulty - Seven years of player feedback distilled into a smoother learning curve. More inviting for newcomers, still uncompromising in the late game.
New Endless Mode - Survive escalating waves for as long as you can. Designed for "one more run" sessions that quietly become entire afternoons.
Quality of life everywhere - Performance, controls, accessibility, dozens of small fixes informed by the community.

I like the graphics of this game, and how fast the jets are, but that's about it. It gets just too challenging too quickly and not in a fun way. The bullets just aren't fun to dodge, they come too fast and there's too many at a fast and bad pace. It doesn't help that the physics from moving aren't the best. And like some have mentioned, the meta-progression doesn't help much. If there was a way to deflect bullets or maybe 'something' else that you can use your meter besides calling a temporary summon, it could be more interesting.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

My very first impressions were good thanks to the solid audio, nice background art, and the fact it actually worked with my DS5 controller without needing to change any Steam settings (that's rare!). The bullets also felt like they had some solid impact when hitting enemies (good use of rumble). Unfortunately though I quickly realized that this was not a traditional shmup where how far you got was up to your skill, but instead is one based endurance where you play a linear series of scrolling levels repeatedly until you have enough upgrades to power through all the developers bad design decisions. Ship controls are slippery and imprecise; After you let go of a direction the ship continues moving in said direction for about half a second, and no the mouse cannot be used to control your ship as a way to overcome this. On top of that your ships hit box is huge, with the 'glow' of bullets often seemingly hitting the ship before the bullet itself even touches it. Attacks and objects that can hit the ship often come from behind where you (normally) can't shoot, and if you're too far to the left they'll hit before you even see them coming. Of course being a rogue like you die once and you have to start the entire run again, no continues. Despite an overall solid presentation and audio work there are too many poor design decisions which hurt the overall experience to recommend it.
Girip kafa dağıtmalık oyun ama kafayı yemeye bayılanlar için ideal bir oyun öneririm
Black Paradox is a game seemingly designed with the philosophy that gamers enjoy ice skating uphill. Full review at Geeks Under Grace
It's alright shooter, but does have issues. Considering i got it for £1 on sale and got 12 hours of fun from it I am pleased, but i would not buy this at full price. Would recommend this only if you already know you enjoy these types of games, otherwise you will probably drop this game. - Start is not well designed, you need to re-grind first few levels a lot for credits. - UI and tool tips are bad, no idea after beating game few times what some things do. - Balance, to hard at start, to easy later on once you figure out which chips/weapons are good. - The achievements to complete sets of 3 items are just praying to luck, rest are easy. + Controls are nice and simple. + Soundtrack and visuals are great. + Co-op works fine with no issues or delay.
fun game but takes way too much grinding it feels like to level up to where you can really get anywhere in the game.
-Weapon pickup RNG is the biggest factor in a good run, one weapon in particular out classes the rest -Starting movement speed is way too slow, raising base stats is too grindy -Visual Feeback is a mess
