About
Birds Watching is a short psychological horror about bird watching.
An endless global fire destroyed the world, and you are now alone, the last human being.
You survive on the top of a mountain, the only place still untouched by the flames, and your only occupation is watching with your binoculars the wild birds escaped up there with you.
It is a peaceful, isolated, desperate life.
Until you are not alone anymore, and the only ones who can save you are the birds; but they are picky. Satisfy them, or lose everything. Be honest. Be ruthless. Be careful.
Birds are watching.
A short but impactful open-world horror experience (~60 minutes).
Go birding! Observe, catalog, and find every bird in the reserve.
Explore a handcrafted open world full of secrets and hidden locations.
Follow your animal companion.
Not only birds are present in the mountain.

Pros - Pratically a walking simulator but still engaging. - Performance was very good although its a basic looking game. - Story and dialog was kind of bonkers but never boring. - Multiple endings if thats your thing. Cons - A little too abstract for my taste. - Very short. Overall its a vert short very strange game but it was interesting to play even though I had really no idea what was going on most of the time. Gets a recomendation just about.
Game is pure ♥♥♥♥. so many time i had to restart the game from so many fixable bugs. and the worst part, the unskippable intro plays every time and for some reson i can rename my bird name many times in the same playthrough?? avoid it if you can. Not recommanded

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is good, but I don't think it's quite as good as Studio Ortica's previous title (Loan Shark). What I liked less about this game is that if you quit and try to resume your run later, the whole thing gets completely ruined and you have to start over from scratch. Sure, we aren't talking about hours of gameplay, but wasting another fifteen minutes redoing everything just because you had to step away from the PC for a moment isn't fun.

birds watching is one of the finest short horror games i've ever played. tense, desperate, and unhinged would be how i describe it. narratively, it's pretty packed, and for how short the game is it really packs a punch. it dresses down the themes of social alienation and isolation with an aside of bawdy and dark humor.
the whole game takes place inside the mind of the last scientist alive. it's deeply tragic, and his self-invention of judgement at the hands of the maybe-real maybe-not caio speaks about guilt for the numerous corpses we find around the mountain. my favourite detail of all is the human skull in the bird's nest and the monument– genuine shivers.
Let me just start out by saying that this is a good game. It is fun, scary, and shocking. That being said, there are just too many bugs and glitches to make it worth playing. If these bugs get fixed, I would 1000% leave this game a good review, but the cons outweigh the beauty of the game. I have tried three playthroughs and have been unable to complete any of them because of a bug ruining it. - You cannot exit mid game or it will enter an odd glitch state the next time you go back on the game, keeping you at the time of day you last left off but with less items and you are sent back to having the first quest of the game. - The game will randomly freeze up while you are playing, so even if you do play this in one go, chances are that it will inevitably freeze at some point, and you will just have to quit anyways. There are some smaller, more minor bugs in the game as well, but these are the main two quite literally game-changing bugs. The game could really be great if these were fixed.
