Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Big Mutha Truckers, developed by Eutechnyx and published by Strategy First, is a loud, brash, and unapologetically silly celebration of trucking culture wrapped in a satirical Southern veneer. It was released in the early 2000s, when open-ended driving games were gaining popularity, and it aimed to deliver a unique blend of trading simulation and arcade-style racing. The premise is as absurd as it is entertaining: Ma Jackson, the hard-nosed matriarch of the Jackson family, is retiring and needs to choose which of her four rowdy children will inherit the family business, Big Mutha Trucking Company. Instead of making the choice herself, she pits her offspring against one another in a 60-day “Trial by Truckin’,” where the one who earns the most money hauling cargo across Hick State County wins. It’s a ridiculous setup that sets the tone perfectly for a game that never takes itself seriously and thrives on over-the-top caricature. From the first moments, the game’s personality is impossible to ignore. Big Mutha Truckers is steeped in exaggerated Americana, complete with dusty highways, greasy diners, radio stations blaring country rock, and a cast of cartoonish redneck stereotypes who deliver lines dripping with attitude and humor. The four playable characters—Bobbie-Sue, Cletus, Earl, and Rawkus—each represent a different flavor of outrageousness, from the flirtatious bombshell to the hotheaded musclehead. This exaggerated tone extends to the world itself, where everything feels designed to mock the excesses of Southern pop culture. The writing is crude but knowingly self-aware, filled with corny one-liners, innuendos, and running gags that give the experience an absurd comedic charm. It’s the kind of humor that either wins you over with its camp or makes you roll your eyes, depending on your tolerance for outrageous stereotypes. Beneath all the bluster lies a gameplay structure that mixes trading simulation with vehicular action. The player travels between five main cities—Salt Sea City, Capital City, Greenback, Skeeter’s Creek, and Big Mutha’s hometown—each with its own supply-and-demand economy. The goal is simple: buy goods cheap in one city and sell them high in another, repeating the process while avoiding the law and rival truckers. It’s a clever spin on the trucking fantasy, emphasizing not just driving skill but also economic awareness. Bars in each town provide gossip about local markets or special deals, and garages offer truck upgrades for speed, armor, and handling. There’s a basic satisfaction in plotting out a profitable route, filling your trailer with valuable cargo, and hitting the road with a clear objective—only to have that plan interrupted by a police blockade, a rival ambush, or a biker gang eager to blow your rig off the highway. The driving itself lands somewhere between arcade and simulation. Trucks feel heavy and deliberate, but not realistic enough to satisfy purists. There’s a sense of weight to the controls that fits the idea of maneuvering a hulking 18-wheeler, yet the physics can be inconsistent. Corners sometimes feel too sharp, collisions lack proper feedback, and the steering can feel floaty. Despite these quirks, there’s still a rhythmic pleasure to mastering the roads, learning how to balance acceleration and braking, and weaving between traffic while your trailer sways behind you. Combat is kept simple but entertaining—you can ram rival truckers off the road, use nitrous for a burst of speed, or evade police by sheer recklessness. The simplicity works in short bursts but struggles to sustain long play sessions. The 60-day structure creates a natural game loop, but it also exposes the repetitiveness at the core of the experience. After a dozen successful runs, the routines start to blend together, and without substantial mission variety, the novelty begins to wear thin. Visually, Big Mutha Truckers wears its budget proudly. The graphics are functional but dated even by the standards of its release period. Towns feel sparsely populated, environments repeat textures frequently, and character models border on grotesque exaggeration. Still, there’s an undeniable charm to its exaggerated art style. The environments, though simple, capture the grit and chaos of backroad America. Billboards, neon-lit gas stations, and small-town storefronts create an atmosphere that feels authentic in its absurdity. The soundtrack complements this world perfectly, featuring twangy guitars, blues riffs, and southern rock tunes that make the long hauls more enjoyable. Combined with voice acting that leans into its absurdity, the presentation manages to feel cohesive even when rough around the edges. One of the game’s more interesting elements is how it merges economic simulation with arcade action. On paper, the combination of trading, exploration, and high-octane trucking has the potential for deep engagement. However, in practice, the trading system is too shallow to create meaningful strategy. Price fluctuations are predictable, and the risk of losing cargo to law enforcement or road hazards doesn’t meaningfully change your playstyle after the first few encounters. Once you discover a reliable trade route, money begins to flow in easily, and the sense of challenge diminishes. The game’s charm, therefore, relies more on its tone and style than on its systems. It’s a game designed for players who enjoy its absurd humor and chaotic driving more than its economic depth. Despite its shortcomings, Big Mutha Truckers holds a certain nostalgic appeal. It captures a specific era of gaming when mid-budget studios were unafraid to take risks on bizarre, personality-driven ideas. Its irreverence and chaotic energy make it stand out even today among more polished but personality-free driving games. While the repetitive gameplay and dated visuals prevent it from being a timeless classic, it succeeds on its own terms as a rowdy, beer-soaked road trip that refuses to apologize for its excesses. For those looking for a lighthearted diversion full of explosions, questionable accents, and trucks that handle like runaway battering rams, Big Mutha Truckers remains a guilty pleasure worth revisiting. It may not be a masterpiece of design, but it embodies a kind of unfiltered fun that feels increasingly rare—a loud, messy, and oddly endearing relic of a more experimental age in gaming. That’s the game that kicked off my virtual long-haul trucking adventure, hahaha. I remember this game from back when I had a PlayStation 2; back then, I found it both fun and challenging. But now, playing it again more than 15 years later, it doesn’t seem nearly as difficult. I also want to note that the game runs on Windows 10 with modern PC specs without any bug fixes, patches, or other updates-and to be honest, it only crashed for me three times during the entire time I played. In 17 hours, I completed all the missions on 5-star some of them made me angry, but most went perfectly on the second try. I strongly recommend limiting the frame rate to 30 fps if you’re going to play through them, because with a high frame rate for example, in the mission where you have to transport money—the door will open every second and the money will fly away; there are a couple of other missions where the frame rate affects what happens. I also managed to win first place after 60 days, but the lead isn’t huge about 6 million dollars and I think it’s possible to earn even more. And for the sake of my guide, I tried out all the “slot machines” in every city and summarized the results: is it possible to make money this way, or is it a scam, just like in real life? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3740464171 Getting back to the game, for someone who’s never heard of it or played it, it probably won’t really grab them. It’s fun and action-packed, but it brings up a lot of nostalgia. So a new player will probably get bored after a couple of hours. But I found it fun and interesting. So I definitely recommend it!
pretty good just like i remember it on the xbox
love it this is the best its been 23 years since i last played what a gem
My first actual trucking game from my childhood. Had this classic on the gamecube and it's a fever dream! Drive by the rules or just got flatout and ram into traffic, police and bikers! That's not to mention that some parts/objects can be destroyed like fences, some buildings and billboards! The thing with this game is , the more you mess about, the more you find out. Keep causing crashes with bikers who will try steal your load. The bikes get upgraded to trikes, Keep having police chases, they upgrade from police cars to armoured swat vans! Yes there's only 60 days but honestly that's fine. You get to choose from four characters with their own personality and truck. These also come with upgrades that you can buy and you can make your own logo too! This game also teaches about stocks in a way, buy cheep , sell high is the slogon but you gotta know what sells good in certain cities and depending on what time too as there's events that happen like a city needs jet fuel, you find a place that sells cheap and you sell in city that demands it! It's educational ya'll! Not to mention that there is mission mode too and yes the holy grail of cheats which makes the game more fun because who don't love being invincible and just smash the hell out of everything! Fuel isn't infinite so you have to upgrade that bad boi to be more fuel efficient! The map is actually quite big even though it can feel a bit small sometimes if you know where to go and each town/city feels unique with characters you interact with and the map has deserts, forests and even snow! So for a game that's over 24 years old i'm so happy that it's actually on steam! I did actually buy a physical copy years ago and both runs ace which is surprising! Top tip don't max out the anti analysing thingy as if that's too high it does sputter a bit. i think mine is on x4 Also fun fact, the guy who voices karl in sniper elite is a voice actor in this.
