About

Attention Operator,
You have been selected to oversee a critical mission. Our team of elite soldiers is set to descend into a newly discovered abyss, believed to lead to uncharted territories beneath the earth. Your role is to monitor the soldiers' progress, ensuring their safety and collecting data.

As they venture deeper, remain vigilant and provide guidance based on their transmissions. You will have access to a status monitor, a radar, a radio to scan various frequencies, and other equipment to assist in your mission.
Be aware that communication may become sporadic as they descend. Strange anomalies have already been detected, and the nature of the abyss remains unknown.

Prepare for the unexpected and maintain operational readiness at all times. Prepare to face the unimaginable.
End of message.

I honestly thought it was pretty good. Atmosphere was interesting, choices involving your crew pretty decent, and the horror factor made me genuinely jump sometimes. All around for the amount you're paying I'd say it's a pretty damn good deal. I'd say get this game if you'd like a good horror game to spend a few hours on.
Developed and published by FromSouthGames, Below, Rusted Gods presents an unsettling psychological horror adventure that stands apart by placing players in the role of an operations specialist rather than an armed survivor. Instead of descending into the darkness yourself, you remain inside a monitoring station, overseeing a military team's dangerous expedition into a mysterious underground abyss. This unusual perspective transforms every radio transmission, sensor reading, and equipment alert into a source of suspense. The game immediately establishes a feeling of isolation and responsibility, as the fate of the expedition depends on your ability to interpret information accurately while confronting increasingly disturbing events beneath the surface. The core gameplay revolves around observation, investigation, and decision making instead of direct combat. Players are tasked with monitoring surveillance systems, tracking movement through radar, maintaining communication with the expedition, and analyzing data gathered from the hostile environment. Every piece of information has value, encouraging careful attention rather than rushed reactions. As communication begins to deteriorate and unexplained anomalies become more frequent, the tension steadily rises. The game effectively creates fear through uncertainty, allowing the unknown to become far more unsettling than constant monster encounters. Its Lovecraft-inspired themes reinforce this atmosphere by emphasizing ancient mysteries and incomprehensible forces that gradually reveal themselves through environmental storytelling. Beyond its distinctive premise, Below, Rusted Gods combines several gameplay elements into a cohesive experience. Puzzle solving, environmental analysis, and resource management work together naturally, requiring players to think critically while adapting to unpredictable situations. Rather than offering straightforward objectives, the game expects players to draw conclusions from fragmented evidence and make decisions with incomplete information. This design rewards patience and curiosity, making each successful discovery feel meaningful. Multiple endings further encourage replayability, inviting players to revisit the story and experiment with different choices to uncover additional secrets hidden throughout the expedition. The presentation plays a significant role in maintaining immersion. The underground facility is filled with aging machinery, industrial architecture, and dimly lit environments that constantly reinforce a sense of abandonment and decay. Instead of relying on flashy visual effects, the game uses restrained environmental design to cultivate dread. The audio experience is equally important, with radio conversations, mechanical noises, distant echoes, and unsettling ambient sounds creating continuous tension. Because much of the horror unfolds through communication and implication, players are encouraged to imagine what lies beyond the safety of the control room, often making the unseen far more frightening than anything directly shown. Narratively, the game succeeds in balancing mystery with player agency. The unfolding story gradually reveals fragments of the ancient civilization and terrifying forces hidden below, while the branching structure ensures that player decisions influence how events develop. This approach gives the narrative greater weight, as every choice may affect the survival of the expedition or the ultimate outcome of the mission. The pacing remains deliberate throughout, allowing suspense to build naturally instead of relying on constant jump scares or relentless action. Players who appreciate atmospheric storytelling, investigative gameplay, and psychological horror will likely find the experience particularly rewarding. Below, Rusted Gods is an ambitious horror title that demonstrates how creativity can refresh familiar genre conventions. By placing players in a support role where observation and judgment become the primary mechanics, it delivers a distinctive experience that feels both immersive and intellectually engaging. While its slower pace and emphasis on analysis may not appeal to those seeking fast-paced action, fans of narrative-driven horror, cosmic mystery, and methodical exploration will discover a memorable journey filled with tension and intrigue. FromSouthGames has crafted an experience that relies on atmosphere, storytelling, and player involvement to leave a lasting impression long after the final transmission fades. Rating: 8/10

Keys behind locked code door after turning power back on successfully, overall worth the buy. Make sure you have your friends help 100%.
I Just have to say this is such an amazing game such good atmosphere and keeps you on edge the whole time and now i have to play it 3 more times at least to get all the endings!!! 10/10
Baptized by an alien. Not sure how I feel about that still lol. I haven't been that into the characters in a long time. Wear headphones
Had me on my toes throughout, and scared of nothing more than not, thanks to the atmosphere the game creates.
Very cool! 10/10 you'll be scared but very invested in wanting to know more of the story really recommend it also if the visual effect are too much you can turn them off, that's great. My only feedback is that I wasn't fund of one of the jumpscares (NOT spoiler) the one of the corridor that is like a slow cinematic then boom jumpscare, I didn't like it because it brakes all the immersion and atmosphere that was built, felt cheap and out of place, also I would have liked to have more things to interact with on the console, but overall it was really scary, moody and interesting, also I loved whatever you did to the voices and vague texts that was superve, the symbols and ominous cave textures looked incredible too.
Well, I can't recommend this game enough! It has atmosphere and tension to rival the big dawgs! The set up is simple and effective, you are " The Operator " and you serve as a sort of handler to a team of specialist who descend into the the unknown. You monitor terminals and monitors to aid the team aswell as explore the adjoining rooms to the command centre. It starts slow, letting you get comfortable until it becomes obvious that not only are the team at risk form the horrors below....but so are you. There are multiple endings and plenty of lore and items to find. It gave me real " As above, So Below " vibes. Superb Indie Horror Gem that needs way more attention that it is getting!
