You are an intern at the central ministry of a totalitarian state with your whole career ahead of you. Work your way up the ladder by scheming against employees, spying on your boss, and completing paperwork. Or do you turn against the state and expose corruption. The choice is still yours to make!

dobra partia

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really enjoyed the first Beholder game. This one tho is much different and in my opinion worse than the first one.
★★★★☆

✦ 𝟒/𝟓 ✦

Same regime, new office.
◆ Beholder 2 is still a fun sequel, but moving from a residential building to a government ministry didn't work quite as well for me. The new setting has some interesting ideas, but it loses a lot of the intimate feeling that made the first game so good. ◆ The game also feels like it stretches itself a little too much. There's more emphasis on grinding and progressing through the ministry, while the feeling of constant danger from the first game is noticeably weaker. After a while, the whole thing can become pretty monotonous. ✦ Still a good game with the same dark humour and dystopian atmosphere, just not quite as memorable as the original.
I'm going to preface this by pointing out that I bought these all as a part of a bundle and i'd played this on console first. I also played all four Beholder titles essentially back to back (Excluding Conductor as I needed a break from Beholder games, four back-to-back was too much!) So... Beholder 2. I think ultimately I can culminate my review by stating "What happened?" The original title had so much promise and I can see what the Devs were trying to do by expanding upon this role and capitalising on the Bleakness of the story. They tried that, and that's great but ultimately it felt like the Devs got rushed to push this through for completion to a Deadline Date. The first half of the game is glorious. It's Beholder but MORE. Expanded. We've got a Job Progression to go through. However the Job by about that halfway point is ultimately pointless. I eventually stopped working because I had more money than I knew what to do with because there's so many cheesy exploitative ways to get money. The Story also seems to go A.W.O.L. towards the end with an almost grindy feeling towards the small tales, just going through the motions. This had such a promising start and I'm sure others must feel the same way, from a beautiful little title to something that was honestly lackluster. On to game 3!
