Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 19 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
In this game, you lie in bed, trying to survive for 20 days. You have to eat, carry about your mental state, and use a bucket as a toilet. You are a young girl who got into a car crash, and after being released from the hospital, she could not get up from the bed, not due to the injuries but to her degrading mental state. You need to survive through the game timeline and not die because of starvation or depression.

nice, very apreciative of the graphics, the story and the overall atmosphere but the game gets really repetitive by the end of it and as you better understand the mechanics it becomes maybe a bit too easy. and talking about mechanics, I really liked how you just get thrown into this weird world. no big introduction, no tutorial, and a sense of uneasiness. reccomend

Bedrotting is an indie psychological horror experience that takes a surprisingly relatable modern concept and transforms it into an unsettling survival game. Developed and published by Marginalact, the game places players in the role of a young woman whose life has spiraled into isolation following a traumatic accident. Confined almost entirely to her bed, she must endure twenty days while battling both physical needs and a deteriorating mental state. Rather than relying on traditional horror tropes involving haunted mansions or monster-filled landscapes, Bedrotting builds its tension from emotional exhaustion, loneliness, and the fear of losing control over one's own mind. The game's most distinctive quality is its commitment to its premise. Nearly every mechanic reinforces the feeling of being trapped. The protagonist's world is reduced to a single room, and what might seem like ordinary daily tasks become major challenges. Players must carefully manage food, water, and basic hygiene while monitoring emotional well-being. This survival framework is intentionally simple, but it effectively communicates the burden of depression and inactivity. The limited environment creates a sense of stagnation that mirrors the character's emotional condition, making the experience feel far more personal than many larger horror titles. As the days pass, the game gradually shifts from a grounded survival scenario into something far more disturbing. Strange entities begin appearing, reality becomes increasingly unreliable, and the line between hallucination and genuine supernatural danger starts to blur. The monsters are not merely obstacles but symbolic extensions of the protagonist's mental decline. Their appearances are designed to unsettle rather than simply shock, contributing to a constant feeling of unease. Because players spend so much time in the same room, even the smallest environmental changes become significant, amplifying the psychological impact of each encounter. The retro-inspired visual style plays an important role in establishing the atmosphere. Instead of chasing realism, Bedrotting embraces a low-fidelity aesthetic that feels dreamlike and slightly distorted. The graphics evoke the sensation of a fading memory or a recurring nightmare, which complements the narrative themes perfectly. This artistic direction also allows the game to focus attention on mood and storytelling rather than technical spectacle. Combined with the confined setting, the visuals create an oppressive environment that rarely allows players to feel comfortable. Narratively, the game succeeds by treating its subject matter with seriousness. The story explores themes of depression, helplessness, and self-destruction through both gameplay and environmental storytelling. The protagonist's inability to leave her bed becomes a powerful metaphor for emotional paralysis, while the gradual escalation of horror elements reflects the consequences of prolonged isolation. Although the narrative is relatively concise, it leaves a lasting impression because it connects its horror directly to recognizable human struggles. The game's focused design is both a strength and a limitation. Players looking for complex mechanics, extensive exploration, or action-oriented gameplay may find the experience repetitive due to its restricted scope. The daily routine can become somewhat predictable, and the confined setting may not appeal to everyone. However, these elements are also central to the game's identity. Bedrotting intentionally sacrifices variety in order to maintain its oppressive atmosphere and thematic consistency. Ultimately, Bedrotting stands out as a unique psychological horror title that demonstrates how effective a simple concept can be when executed with confidence. Its combination of survival mechanics, unsettling imagery, and emotionally driven storytelling creates an experience that is uncomfortable in all the right ways. While it may not satisfy players seeking traditional horror thrills, it offers a memorable and thought-provoking journey into isolation, mental decline, and personal survival. For fans of experimental indie horror that prioritizes atmosphere and symbolism over action, Bedrotting delivers a distinctive and haunting experience. Rating: 6/10
6/10 I like the idea, visuals, atmosphere, but it is so boring to play.
Great concept, great story. Could use some polishing (some grammar and phrasal construction errors in english, some bugs with the camera and menus).
Its really not that bad actually especially for the price, has a weird surreal horror vibe. The gameplay is a lot more varied than just a horror walkthrough. You have to know what items to use to keep you alive while stuck in your bed, and the whole time monsters and hallucinations are messing with you. The graphics remind me a lot of paratopic, and underneath the lighthouse. They run smooth and function well, and it has that low fi feel to it. Its worth 50c-1$ on sell. It might not be long, people say its short. I haven't delved in long enough, but I have not looked up walkthroughs, so the games still challenging. I haven't got far at all so it seems to have some varied content to it. I don't think you'll beat it super fast unless you just look at a walkthrough or something.
whats the purple thing on the bed......
it's most certainly an interesting game. incredibly atmospheric, not too scary. game doesn't last that long but it wasn't boring for what is esentially a waiting game. always kept me excited to see what happens when another day passes. tho i am highly against the trailer. i'm glad i went mostly blind because i just watched it.. and in those 1:26 minutes you've basicly experienced the entire game. like if you where to watch the trailer before playing you will pretty much have no surprices left so that would be rather dissapointing. still tho, fun game to try out especially when it's on sale
