About

beaterCore is an arcade racing game for those who prefer cheap rusty beaters over specialized sports cars. Buy, repair, restore, and tune your dream project car. Take part in racing events and work your way through the career mode.

Repair your car in first person mode. Purchase furniture and stockpile as many spare parts as you can - you're going to need them.

In beaterCore you'll have to make quick repairs in-between races. Everything can go wrong, and you must be prepared for it! Store items in your car's trunk, but be wise with what you bring with you - space is limited.

Play locally with up to four players on the same screen. Keyboard controls are fully supported!

If career mode is not enough - you can always compete against your friends in online races. You're still going to need your resource management skills - multiplayer races affect your cars the same way as in career mode! Show off your pristine ride, or surprise your friends with track-specific tuning.

Experience tracks across different times of year. Prepare your car for icy winter conditions or enjoy the warm, vibrant colors of autumn.

Can't wait to see what's added next!
the art style is amazing, very simplistic and goofy, and the rally races are pretty fun too. I need more difficult bots.

I've only played for a little bit, but I'm really liking it so far. The driving feels good, it's a PS1 style arcade racing game. Every crash damages your car's parts, which makes the repair shop super useful. The start of the campaign mode is hilarious. I'm definitely going to play it a lot, and I highly recommend it!

Who would've thought resource management and racing would combo so well together. I'm sure didn't, but I am pleasantly surprised by this game. It's very fun. My only gripe, although it's probably just a skill issue on my part, is that the braking is incredibly punishing. Like if you don't tap it, you go from like 80 to 0 in a blink of an eye. Makes slowing down for corners a bit annoying, but not unmanageable.
I normally don't write reviews, but this game really caught my attention. I think the game has a lot of potential, and overall I'm really enjoying the way it's made. Right after finishing the tutorial, it's already clear that this isn't a game you'll finish in a few hours, but something you can spend a lot more time with. The vehicle service and maintenance system especially surprised me in a good way. **+ Pros:** * Long story * Interesting vehicle service and maintenance system * Long races * Ability to repair your car between races * Overall a really interesting concept **- Cons:** * Poor optimization * The races are way too easy in my opinion * No mouse cursor * No crosshair – sometimes it's a real pain to pick up or properly interact with certain parts For me, it's a solid **8.5/10** so far. I really hope the developers keep improving the game, because it has a lot of potential. If they work on the optimization and fix some of these smaller issues, this could become a really great game.
Really love this game, its realy fun how you can customize a lot! But first person would be really cool.
Fun game that feels pretty similar to Mon Bazou. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10 and I'm looking forward to seeing how development progresses. My biggest annoyance is having to take every single item to the dumpster one at a time if you want to get rid of stuff. After a few hours, it gets pretty tedious. A backpack, garbage bag, wheelbarrow, or some other way to carry multiple items at once would go a long way. The car mechanics feel good, though I'd like to see more parts and things to mess around with as development continues. My main issue is with the racing. I'm spending more than half of the money I make on repairing the car—not because I'm crashing, but because the AI seems to spend most corners trying to take me out of the race. It makes racing feel a lot less rewarding when a big portion of the payout immediately goes toward fixing damage caused by other cars. Still, I'm enjoying it and think there's a solid foundation here. Looking forward to seeing where the game goes.
This is what I assume life in Finland is like. Game combines a classic feel similar to old gran turismo games, with modern mechanics borrowed from newer simulators, but still simple enough for the average gamer.
