Really enjoying the game so far. I'm near the end of the first zone and having a lot of fun with the level designs. I've never really been a big tower defense fan but this game does it in a way that tickles my brain in the right ways. You unlock towers as you progress through the levels and it does a good job of letting you really experiment with them. If you fail or don't like the results of how things turned out, you can at any time use the option of either restarting the whole level from scratch, or from the beginning of the current wave before you spent resources on towers. I played the first couple levels on the normal difficulty and found it too easy, so I kicked it up to heroic difficulty and its just right. The first boss was hard as hell but through many retries, it pushed me to learn how push and combine mechanics into interesting strategies that I would need going forward. Things like controlling enemy pathing using boxes, selling and replacing boxes mid wave to change the path of enemies as needed, understanding the upgrades and effects of the towers and abilities. and understanding the enemies and their interactions with certain terrain. All in all, its a very cool experience that I've been enjoying as my game to relax with before bed.
its good, very classic tower defense game. good unlocking system . does not feel to grindy. i like it.
I really enjoyed the game, especially working out the best combination of traps for the different waves. Highly recommended
Overall, this game was a good entertainment, although the late game was that awful that I simply stopped playing. The game provides a lot of interesting choices and twists to a genre that struggle to evolve, like choosing your turrets and beats/guardian/spells loadouts, or enemies that can break the maze, entire boss fights with short cd on all spells. Each region offers a unique set of monsters and each map a unique roster based on the region set, with their own weaknesses and resistances, meaning you have to adapt your loadout to match those. In other words, you can't just play "the best combo" each and every time, which is cool I think. It's also kind of pretty for a pixel art game. Also I love the plate trap :D Now, every mission has 3 missions that are mandatory in order to unlock stuff, interesting, but some of them are very lame like breaking a damage sponge, sorry, a chest. Another one asks you to break that damn chest before turn x. Furthermore, late game missions are too exhausting and some are unbalanced like the one with moving walls, cool idea but poorly executed. Personal note: 6/10.
