One complaint I'll make: When you get a star for completing a puzzle, you sometimes don't even notice it because the star number increases without a wimper - it would be better if there was some big animation of your stars going up, or the font going green from 46-47 let's say, for a few seconds, before going black again, so you can get that pleasure/satisfaction of completing the puzzle, because now I'm wondering did I even complete that puzzle? Because I wasn't notified. This is where bean and nothingness could've taken a page out of Super Mario 64's book and made a big commotion every time you get a star. I like this game quite a lot. Positives: 1. Hub world like Super Mario 64 2. Set in a university, with notes or tidbits reminiscent of the pokemon games or final fantasy viii 3. Each creature is unique 4. Shows you difficulty of each puzzle, and can move on to different areas without having to solve more difficult puzzles 5. Pretty good music for each area that matches the biome Negatives 1. Even though there are puzzles of various difficulties, I would say there are not enough easy puzzles or medium puzzles, 2. Puzzles are not as satisfying to solve as the puzzles in a game such as ''where's my egg''. 3. Games such as ''where's my egg'' have puzzles that are the perfect level of diffulty. Here the puzzles are too hard even with the easy ones. And where's my egg is not an easy game, by no means.

A cozy and hard-as-balls puzzle game that drew me into the genre. Bean and nothingness is about exploring, experimenting, thinking really hard, and conquering. Scarcely have I had such a strong "A-ha!" sensation as when playing this game, but you really have to work for it. It's like if maths was beans.
Good
I finished 3 island, and I think I have enough for now and got way more than my monies worth the game is difficult, and even the 'easy' puzzle takes a while to solve. but the pay off is always worth it you really do feel the mental strain after solving the puzzle, it feel more suited to steam deck style where I can try a few ideas on the puzzle for 10mins and come back later if I fail and rinse and repeat
it's peak frustration, play it now
Puzzle design is genius, the quality of this one stunned me. On the difficult side, but open nature of world allows even us mere mortals to experience all of the mechanics and see an ending. True hidden gem.
An outstanding puzzle game. As difficult as it is rewarding.
Absolutely masterpiece
