About
Beacon Pines is a cute and creepy adventure set within a mysterious book. You play as both the reader of the book and its main character, Luka.
Something strange is happening at the old warehouse, and Luka and his friends seem to be the only ones taking notice. Sneak out late, make new friends, uncover hidden truths, and collect words that will change the course of fate!

While helping Luka investigate the strange goings-on in Beacon Pines, you’ll collect special golden charms, each with a word engraved on it. These charms can be used at certain turning points in the story to fill in a blank word and drastically change everything that follows.

As the book's reader, you’ll navigate the story’s turning points using The Chronicle: an interactive story tree that branches and grows along with your choices. Exploring one set of events can unlock new charms to use on another branch, leading you to jump back and forth between entirely different versions of the story in order to unravel the mysteries at the heart of Beacon Pines.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

+
• cute cartoon art style • an incredibly beautiful and atmospheric isometric world • a perfect mix of cosy atmosphere and dark vibes. On the one hand, you have this beautiful little town and adorable animal characters, while on the other, there’s a small-town mystery slowly unfolding. An extremely addictive combination • the characters speak in a very animal crossing-like way, while the actual story is accompanied by a narrator • very pleasant background music •
the charm system is such a lovely idea. Throughout the story, you collect different words that can be used at certain turning points, changing how the story continues.
•
I really like how Beacon Pines handles its different story paths. Of course, the story is ultimately more guided than it initially seems but the chronological tree system with its different branches and the ability to jump back to earlier decisions does a very convincing job of making you feel like you’re influencing the story yourself. And even the “wrong” paths don’t necessarily feel pointless, because you sometimes discover things there that help you elsewhere.
• lots of achievements - • when do we get more? :<
Conclusion
The art style and story of Beacon Pines are simply incredibly beautiful. On top of that, the narrator delivers the entire narrative in such an authentic and empathetic way that it really enhances the feeling of experiencing an interactive storybook and adds to the immersion. Beacon Pines may not be a long game, but it’s definitely addictive, and I want more of it, please <3 ______________
+
Becon Pines is an experience that I will be thinking about for very long time. I don't typically write reviews, but this game is special. I HAVE to. A few friends of mine desperately wanted to show me this game, and I went in completely blind. I didn't know anything about it other than the cover art. I didn't even watch a trailer. I am so unbelievably happy that I went into this as blind as possible. If you are reading this, and you haven't played the game, I would love for you to have the same experience I did. Please give it a shot as blindly as possible. It is so incredibly worth it. But, if you need a little more convincing, I will do my best to not spoil anything while doing so: Becon Pines is akin to a choose your own adventure novel, except this is a digital one that is able to track your overall progress. It encourages you to flip the pages back at any time, using newly collected words to try new possibilities and outcomes. I would elaborate further, but I feel like discovering the unique way the story is presented, is something worth finding on your own. It is fascinating and incredibly clever in it's execution. It has been a very long time since I played something that had filled me with such an incredible range of emotions. I laughed, I cried, and I was terrified. This game's horror is not based on jump scares or loud noises, but instead an absolutely overwhelming sense of dread. I can only compare it to something like "Silent Hill 2," where your anxiety and stress is built over what you DON'T see. It truely feels like anything could happen to these poor children, and that was so unbelievably stressful that I almost dropped the game. It is really difficult to see kids, especially cute animal kids, put in such peril. You worry about their well-being so incredibly, that you dread the very real possibility of hitting a gruesome game over. But I must emphasize that no matter how bad it seems, you need to push through it. I think you will be tremendously happy that you did. The twists and turns this story takes are captivating, and the characters have such depth and personality to them. I'd compare them to the NPCs in "Majora's Mask." Each new choice shows you a new side of them, making them feel like real people. It's a great advantage of the story's branching structure, and I think the game utilizes it very well. Oh man and the music, good god I could gush about the music for hours! It so perfectly accompanies the story and drives every emotional intent home. Absolutely incredible stuff. I put this game up there with "Look Outside," "Crow Country," and "Don't escape: 4 Days to Survive." All of those indie games had stories that stuck with me, stories that I still think about frequently. I will be unable to stop thinking about Beacon Pines and the journey it took me on, for a very long time. I urge you to take the journey yourself.
Great storyline. I liked the branching alternate realities.
Beacon Pines is such a gem. The story is rich, beautifully written, and somehow manages to be creepy, heartwarming, and incredibly cute all at once. The characters are lovable, the mystery kept me hooked, and every choice felt meaningful. The art style and music create the perfect cozy atmosphere while still giving you chills when the story takes a darker turn. If you enjoy narrative-driven games with memorable characters and clever storytelling, I can’t recommend Beacon Pines enough. It stayed with me long after the credits rolled.
