About
Beacon Pines is a cute and creepy adventure set within a mysterious book. You play as both the reader of the book and its main character, Luka.
Something strange is happening at the old warehouse, and Luka and his friends seem to be the only ones taking notice. Sneak out late, make new friends, uncover hidden truths, and collect words that will change the course of fate!

While helping Luka investigate the strange goings-on in Beacon Pines, you’ll collect special golden charms, each with a word engraved on it. These charms can be used at certain turning points in the story to fill in a blank word and drastically change everything that follows.

As the book's reader, you’ll navigate the story’s turning points using The Chronicle: an interactive story tree that branches and grows along with your choices. Exploring one set of events can unlock new charms to use on another branch, leading you to jump back and forth between entirely different versions of the story in order to unravel the mysteries at the heart of Beacon Pines.

Genuinely one of the best games I've played. 10/10 Short and sweet with a BEAUTIFUL art style.
Welp i must say that game was fun. it really was but i have some issuse with it. but to not waste your time i will chop this into 3 sections: - 1 pros - 2 cons - 3 my final thoughts 1 pros: - beautiful background and character graphics - likable characters (especially Dawn) - Pretty good Overall Story - Unique and fun vison for telling the story 2 cons: - price (at least in polish currency its quite expensive). i know this isnt 2010 so games cant be to cheep but i only buyed it cause it was on sale otherwise i would propably miss it and i think its both issue to the potential buyer as for stuido that could get more fans by simply lowering the price. even though the game was good i think its really expensive since you can 100% it withing 6 hours especialy since i have game running in the background for quite some time and propably could 100% it in 5 hours. -
even thouh there are mulitple branches of the story they all lead to bad endings except one "Main route" that gets its own epiloge. so its more of a way for you to know the plot than actually creating your own story. and i think there should be more moments you can alter story or at least more endings like i don't underst why we cant follow up at least one or two more endings that reshape epilog
-
And as for "Main route" i am kinda disapointed like luka learns most things here off screen and i know they propably would tell them that after all that happend but then why don't just make a scenes where they can learn that themselfs and make the good ending more rewarding by getting more content the ending dosen't really fell for me that satisfying espessialy since i liked the whole route with iggy more.
-there is a ton of possiblites that this game didn't use like i would love to see this game longer and more developed especialy like involning some kind of route where you help antagonist. or like where just other characters get thier development i liked dawn, heiress, geoff, augustus but thier importance to the story isn't really that great (maybe except dawn) especialy since
heiress and augustus could be just replaced with william and the story would progress the same
-as i metioned in first cons. the game is short looking at the reviews now i even seen somebody finished it in 4 hours. 3 my final thoughts. the game is not bad but it ain't great either. so why I recommend it? welp i want to belive that if it sales well we get someting like this but better either it would be a part 2 of this story or just another game with this branching mechanic i would love to see it. but if you don't have money to support studios to just make grater games in futre i would just watch the game on yt. i really hope the stuido will grow and be able to make a even better games. thats all for me thanks for reading. ~Zawi

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is just whati was looking for its cozy and creepy i love it.
short but nice game
Goed verhaal en super mooie art style, maar het einde kwam voor mij een beetje abrupt. Had gehoopt er iets langer mee zoet te zijn, maar voor de sale prijs is het het zeker waard.
I was hooked right from the start. This game is cute and funny while having a slightly dark mystery going on, the concept is great and well done and the voice acting makes it even more special. I think it's an excellent pick for the cozy time of the year, but I'd recommend it anytime ♥
This is an experiment in storytelling. Closer to a visual novel than an actual game. In Beacon Pines you're a fluffy, reindeer kid in a town with dark secrets. The main gimmick is that throughout the game you'll encounter magic phrases that can change the arc of the story in different, branching paths. At any time you can rewind the story to these branching paths and use your new magic phrase to take the story in a new direction. Despite all of this, I don't think the end result delivers on what's possible with the premise. Some magic phrases are gated and the story ends up being moderately linear across all the endings. Story endings will have you asking questions with answers gated behind paths you only recently opened up. The narrator's voiceover lines come off a bit too "precious" and I believe they thought there would be more buy-in on the story, but the final ending felt messy. Overall I got through the game. I'm a moderate approver of what's here more for its concepts than execution. I'm not going to say the story was exceptional, the first 2-3 hours are probably the strongest so you'll know fast if you jive with this game or not. The art and characters will be hit or miss for a lot of people given how hyper-cute and extra fluffy it is. You can also clear the entire game in ~5 hours, so it's a perfect length to get something out of it without overstaying its welcome. I'd like to see evolutions on their storytelling ideas. The town of Beacon Pines had its story well mined, but it really feels like there's more to do with a branching-path story where the literal storybook is part of the mechanics
4/5
amazing
