About
Battlewrights is the couch-multiplayer party brawler you've been missing:
Grab 1-3 friends (in the room, or anywhere via Steam Remote Play Together - only one copy needed), pick a character, and start throwing weapons at each other...
The core mechanics are deceptively simple: Press button to throw your weapon, press it again to magically recall it. Landing a hit works both ways — on the throw, and on the recall.. Repeat until you are the last person standing. All characters have the same moveset, so no long explanations before someone new jumps in.
But if you want to take things further, try throwjumps, charged throws, perfect throws, self-evades and game-changing powerups.
Rounds are FAST. Be aware of your surroundings and use them to your advantage.
If you throw your weapon mid-air, it lets you do a throwjump. Combine this move with walljumps and no platform is too high to reach!
You can also dodge your ene... friends projectiles by pressing the dodge button shortly before being hit. This opens up perfect opportunities to strike back!
Save your best moves as GIFs and use them to taunt your friends - FOREVER!
Pick from 4 different characters, each with 4 different color schemes!
If you really want to hone your movement skills, try the included time trial mode. Try to beat bronze, silver and gold times, or even dare challenging the coveted developer medal!

Great couch co-op game with lovely graphics and sound! The mechanics are simple, catchy and never get boring. It is funny to see how everyones skill curve rises only after a few hours of gameplay and you have your first momements of INSANE killing blows!
The movement and aim is great. I can recommend the game to anybody, who is looking for a couch combat game. There is a lot of outplay potential :)
big fun with friends and strangers alike. Offers a lot of skill expression if you want to, but that's all optional! Easy to pick up, hard to master type of PvP fun! Also loving the Time Trial mode, it's something to do

Fast platformer that focuses on battles on the same screen with other people, but there’s also a single player time trial mode. Sadly, it only has a few stages so far, and you are awarded a medal depending on how fast you destroy all the targets. You can earn the three standard medals and a dev medal for achieving a time that requires mastery and precision. For the gameplay mechanics, you have a jump, attack, and dodge. Jump works as a wall jump when you have two vertical surfaces close together, and as a high jump when you attack downward during a jump, sending you much higher. Attack is based on how long you hold the button. With a quick tap, your weapon flies only a few steps, but if you keep the button pressed for a few seconds to charge it, it will fly across the screen. There’s only one weapon, so you need to press the attack button again to recall it to your hands. While the weapon hits walls and obstacles when thrown, this does not apply during recall, meaning it will pass through anything and hurt any enemy standing in its path. Since everything is happening on a single screen, the game supports couch multiplayer for up to four players. You pick from four characters, each of whom plays the same way, then choose the game type, either earning points for kills or playing last man standing, and one of four stage environments. It doesn’t have a lasting appeal, but time-trials for single players are a nice addition to spend some more time with the game.
Great local multiplayer! Always fun to play with friends, but also enjoyable solo in time trial mode.
This is a real fun multiplayer game to play along with friends on a weekend with some beers. It really stands out for it nostalgia feel to the good old couch co-op days. The game is simple enough to get a grip fairly quick but the mechanics also offer a degree of complexity that can really make a difference for experienced players. Time trial mode is also great if you are looking to test your skills and wish to practice and improve them or if you just want to show off with your buds and let them know who the real boss is. All in all a really cool game to play with your friends and for the price tag I would not hesitate to buy it if even for the time trails that are a really good challenge.
