Made me distrust my toaster down stairs after playing.

Very good game, shame they removed it from steam
Wow, is this Homeworld but with a Battlestar Galactica skin? Nope. This is (was) a weak turn based strategy with plodding pace, unclear direction, and ultimately very little joy. When I saw a Battlestar Galactica themed game on Steam of course I grabbed for it... until I saw that dreaded name... Slitherine. Yes, it's Paradox from Temu, with the lovers hands... because everything they touch is screwed. So too for Battlestar Galactica: Dreadlocks. In fact, this isn't really a game! Seriously, this is just a demo, the first chapter, and you were supposed to buy the rest of the game in the form of massively overpriced DLC. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality game this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Should you buy this game if you can find a third party key? Nope. Because this is just a demo you have to pay money for... it's appalling. And then you'd have to buy the rest of the game through DLC... which have all been pulled off Steam. This kind of thing really isn't okay, it's unethical and it's bad for gamers. And when businesses like Slitherine do this hamfisted handling of beloved franchises, and fail the way they did due to incompetence and greed, it deters the franchise owners from letting other, better developers make real games in those franchises. This is why we can't have nice things.
has been one of my favourite games for many years now. its just a shame they removed it off the store. i am one of the many who never was able to purchase all the DLC's so will now have to either play without them or spend £200 to get the remaining 2 i need because of course the 2 i need are the expensive ones. if the game was still available i would highly recommend it to anybody interested. lets hope they bring it back for all who missed out

The game itself is truly amazing a fantastic strategy experience that captures the Battlestar Galactica universe perfectly. However, there’s one major caveat: it’s disappointing that the title has been removed from the Steam store. For players like me who started with the base game and gradually purchased DLCs over time, the removal feels unfair. Ideally, the game should remain available on Steam, with options to buy the expansions or at least offer significant discounts (90–99%) so that fans can complete their collections. It’s frustrating knowing I’ll never fully experience the game because I’m missing DLCs that are no longer accessible. I originally got the base game for free during a catch-up promotion years ago, and since then I’ve invested in several DLCs. I expected to continue expanding my collection through Steam, but now that’s no longer possible. Despite this, I want to emphasize that Deadlock itself is a brilliant game. I sincerely hope it returns to the Steam store, along with its DLCs, so fans can enjoy the complete experience (at least to whoever they got it in the account got the DLC's at super discount or even for free). That would be truly amazing. Bad for the Devs and for Newell ... i expected more from them ...
Great game a shame Slitherine lost the rights so had to remove it from all stores
_____________8__88_____8 ____________88_8__8_____8 ___________888_____88___88888 __________8888______88_8____88 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______8_______8 _________8888_____8_______8 __________88888____8______8 ___________8888888______8 __888_________88888_8 8888888________88_____ _8888888_______8_____ __888888_______88_____ ___88_____8_____8_____ ____8______8____8_____8_88 _______8888_8__88_8_88888 _____888888_8_88__8888888 ____8888888__88______88888 ____88888_____8_________888 ____88_________8__________8 _____8_________8_____ _______________8_____ ____________8_8_____ _____________88_8_____ ______________88_____ ______________8_____
