BF6 is like a pretty ex-girlfriend who managed to claw her way back into your life, only to disappoint you again. All the promotional content for the game is very situational and specifically captured and shown off to give you the best impression. A lot of what is showcased is not often experienced while playing a match. Why does Bad Company 2 have better destruction and physics? Why does Battlefield 4 have very comparable graphical fidelity and only to use 3 GB of VRAM on max settings at 4K? Vehicles in BF6 are so imbalanced compared to previous games, and it never gets addressed in patch notes. How many seasons do you guys need? I’m tired of logging in only to be greeted with “Buy Battlefield Pro,” “Get the Battle Pass,” and guns locked behind a paywall. I already purchased the game, EA. I feel like people are starting to forget how good the old Battlefield games were and are blindly opening their wallets to be part of the latest entry. Try Bad Company 2 through private servers, brought back to you by the community. Install BF4 in 2026 and start asking questions, guys. I wholeheartedly do not recommend Battlefield 6.
This doesn't feel like a Battlefield game. It feels like it's trying to copy far worse games rather than stay true to the franchise's identity and unique selling points.
The movement feels too fast
Everything feels very hyper-active, like Call of Duty. It contributes to making map geography seem inconsequential, because positioning and terrain are just things you zip past in a fast sprint before sliding around on your knees, etc. A lot of core Battlefield gameplay used to be around using and developing cover and positional advantage, but all of that's gone if it's just a lame run-and-gun PvP free-for-all.
The squad spawning system destroys strategic gameplay
If you look at the early days of the franchise, mobile spawn points used to be *crucial* assets that massively changed how maps were played. This becomes meaningless if you can pretty much spawn on any single player in a squad by default all the time any time. It also destroys any sort of map coherence or consistency. Positional play becomes immaterial if any random player can just instantly become three or four in a location they have no business being at. Territorial control just goes out the window, and vehicle transport becomes low value, if people can just spawn wherever immediately anyway.
The game's UI is an ugly, loud, confusing mess
It's very hard to get a sense of what's actually going on, because it's constantly spamming you with arbitrary elements of content and notifications, etc rather than just giving you a concise way to queue up for a game you want with a load-out you want to use. Useful functionality is hidden away in sub menus; stuff like queueing for a specific game mode is opaque, and buried amongst a load of other arbitrary game modes that I have zero interest in trying. Customising your load-out is an awkward pain. It feels like the UI's been designed by some kid who's only really familiar with console games, and thus has no idea how to set up a proper PC GUI in a way that is streamlined and efficient. This extends to the game which is constantly bombarding you with CoD-style obnoxious notifications for XP gains and so on. It's like someone's vomiting on your screen, and like who ever designed the game doesn't understand just how low-value and totally childish and redundant all of these things are. And this puts a ton of pressure on you to go into the options and fiddle with a *ton* of settings trying to tone down the user-unfriendly elements of the experience.
The game doesn't seem to understand its identity of what it's trying to do
The Battlefield franchise, for me, has always been about jumping into a large, complex, varied, sandbox and the emergent gameplay you create by learning to use those unique tools effectively. The maps don't seem to work well in this respect: Most feel claustrophobic; the control points all close by and on top of each other. It feels like the larger format battles are an after-thought game-mode rather than the whole purpose of the franchise. The CoD-style health regeneration is an understandable modern concession to the genre, but it feels far less tactical than actually having health boxes deployed or teammates patching you up, and it makes strategic play around resources feel unnecessary. My enjoyment of the experience has always gone down as tools become more dumbed-down, easy-to-use, and sterile. It feels like there's no point in doing anything in this game apart from grabbing a spammy gun and going ham running around, maybe firing some rockets off if there's vehicles in a map. I'm looking at this game and going "actually, I'd rather be playing something as old and dated as BF1942 and having fun using an artillery piece to blow stuff up halfway across the map, or fly a Junkers bomber. I'd rather play Desert Combat mod, and circle a target in a gunship while teammates rain hell down on a spawn point. I'd rather player BF:V and be setting up tunnel network exits to allow team to spawn in surprising places, or laying bouncing betties, or setting up a mortar point. I'd rather play BF:2 and be valiantly defending a control point, knowing that if I take out the assaulting players they won't all just respawn directly on top of me over-and-over and then free-cap it. I'd rather play BF:3 and using TV missiles on my chopper to take down enemy helicopters; or setting up a key ambush point with my squad to intercept enemy armour with javelins; or setting up a respawn beacon because that actually matters. In fact, I'd rather be playing Isonzo or Rising Storm or any of the other more tactical, more immersive titles that have picked up the BF legacy, and decided to concentrate on the elements of the franchise that made it unique and worth playing, even if they're far less polished than this game is.
Unforgivably atrocious UI, some incredibly strange weapon balance choices and horrible vehicle gameplay as well as lacking basic customization options present in previous battlefield titles.
the game has less content than it did on launch, EA have been removing content do not buy this game.

Nice collab, whats hext? Nikki Minaj with diamond dagger? Why do i need celebs running around battlefield? From a "Let’s keep it real" to discount COD in half a year. Corporate greed has no limit.
Honestly, I've played almost every Battlefield game, but this one frustrates me more than any of them. Classes: The class balance is completely off. There's almost no reason to play anything other than Assault or Engineer. Want an LMG? Just equip one on those classes anyway, making Support feel almost pointless. Ground vehicles: The balance is all over the place. An LAV can't destroy an MRAP faster than a tank can, and the new motorbike handles like you're driving a forklift in reverse. Air vehicles: The Little Bird is ridiculously overpowered. In previous games it was a glass cannon; now it feels like a flying tank with insane firepower. Jets: Still no meaningful customization, and the dumb bombs are practically useless unless you're already an experienced pilot. Maps: Most maps are extremely lane-focused. Almost every match feels like Operation Metro, with flanking routes either nonexistent or so obvious they're not worth using. Spotting: Spotting is way too strong. Trying to flank or play stealthily is almost impossible because something is constantly revealing your position. Bugs and exploits: Some exploits have been in the game for months. The tank exploit was reported around six months before it was finally fixed—only after a YouTuber made it mainstream. It shouldn't take a viral video for major bugs to get attention. Progression: Back in the day, a high Battlefield rank meant someone had put in the time or was genuinely skilled. Now it often just means they abused XP farms, exploits, or bugs to reach level 500+. Netcode & performance: Hit registration still feels inconsistent, dying behind cover happens too often, and performance can vary wildly from one update to the next. Battlefield has always had balance issues here and there, but this game feels like it's fighting against the player instead of rewarding good gameplay. It has potential, but right now it feels more frustrating than fun. Infantry / Gunplay: Suppression is almost nonexistent. LMGs don't really fulfill their role of pinning enemies down. Weapon recoil is too easy to control, making guns feel too similar. Head glitching is still a problem, with players exposing only a few pixels while being able to shoot accurately. Peeker's advantage makes aggressive players win fights they shouldn't. Visual recoil vs actual recoil can make guns feel inconsistent. Maps: Too many open sightlines. Too many choke points. Flags are often too close together, creating constant meat grinders. Some objectives are nearly impossible to attack because defenders have overwhelming high ground. Not enough memorable maps compared to classics like Caspian Border, Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Seine Crossing or Damavand Peak. Matchmaking Teams are often horribly unbalanced. Matches snowball after the first few objectives. No proper team balancing between rounds. Sometimes you stay on the losing team for several games in a row. The game feels like it doesn't know whether it wants to be Battlefield or a fast-paced arena shooter. Older Battlefield games rewarded positioning, teamwork, and using the sandbox. BF6 often feels more like chasing the current meta, with constant spotting, narrow maps, and class balance that discourages experimenting.
This is one of the worst feeling FPS Games I've ever played. 4 Seasons in and the Netcode/Hitreg continues to be the worst it has ever been and combined with the bullets going everywhere except where you aim and headshots doing less than 30 dmg, you get gunplay that somehow feels worse than 2042. Many bugs from the Beta are still not fixed and they are somehow completely incapable of making sight reticles glow after almost a full year, despite everyone constantly complaining. All the talent is clearly gone and after giving this game 4 chances, I'm done making excuses.
