Many, many years ago I got Battlefield 3 on my PS3 and played the campaing, the coop campaing and the multiplayer over and over again. It was a game I enjoyed a lot. I've been making an effort to carry over all the Playstation games I had over to my PC so I've been buying a good portion of them on Steam and playing through them again. Normally, I wouldn't bother but unfortunately my PS3 is currently ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bed and dying AND Sony ♥♥♥♥♥♥ my accounts over several times and provided 0 assistance on helping me recover my accounts. Their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI, automatic helper ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SUCKS. Not that the situation on PC is much better, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EA launcher man...
+The campaing is fun. This is nostalgia speaking, truth be told, there are certain "wtf is this story telling" events but as a kid I loved it and because of that nostalgia I still love it even if some situations are well could have been better. You get several perspectives from your usual American rifleman to a tanker and a jet pilot as well as playing as Russian soldiers for two or so missions. Its really nice to be able to have all these characters, it makes the story very varied with what it offers. Its not a long campaing but I think its a pretty fun one. As a kid, I used to really be attached to some of the characters, Montes especially. Nowadays, I'm older, I think some things in the campaing could have been better but overall I still like it. Justice for Blackburn!
+There's a coop campaing as well, short but fun. Bring a friend and you can do some fun missions and if you get good scores you even unlock some weapons you can use in the multiplayer.
+I don't recall if I mentioned this in my BF4 review but it applies to both games, its really nice that you don't have to choose between a cheaper, normal version of the game and a more expensive premium version. You just get premium in both games.
+The multiplayer is very fun as well. There are small maps, there are big maps, there's lots of cool vehicles (even if people camp the absolute ♥♥♥♥ out of some vehicles because they wanna use it as soon as it spawns), lots of guns and the progression in game is very fun. There are unfortunate downsides to this as well, again I don't recall if I mentioned it in my BF4 review but in both games pretty much everyone you're facing is max level with all the goodies and you're just kinda starting out. It can be a lil rough. Unfortunately for me, I had more mixed experiences in BF3 then I did in BF4 which surprised me. Most of my matches were fun but I definitely had matches where people were *clearly* cheating like not "oh I think that guy has something wrong with him" like the ENTIRE chat is mentioning that this guy is cheating, you are very clearly being killed when he's on the other side of the map and in the death cam like you can see the guy just jumping, not taking damage, shooting into the air and getting kills. No joke, the guy himself didn't even deny it, people would ask in cheat how to report him and he'd say "I'm the admin lol" which is absolutely retarded. Is it a fun MP game, yeah. Does it still have players, yeah. Are there ♥♥♥♥♥ out there, oh absolutely. Be aware of the age of this game and the fact that clearly no anti-cheat system exists before buying it.
+/- I don't recall if I mentioned this in my BF4 review, its been a while since I played BF4 anyways but I think BF4 worked like this too: You need the EA launcher (which is ♥♥♥♥ and sucks) to be able to launch the game. Even then, when you press play, your browser will open up first from there you can choose if you wanna load the singleplayer campaing, the multiplayer or the coop campaing. Again, its been a while since I played BF4 so I don't remember if I mentioned it/if BF4 worked that way too but BF3 definitely does work this way and it kinda sucks. I wish we could just you know stick to Steam as the only launcher and not have to use battlenet and the browser and just have a main ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ menu.

-The campaing just kinda ends on a cliff hanger... Like I guess the situation is "resolved", we've seen all 3 nukes but my god its... Its so abrupt? I still like it, I like it more then BF4's ending, I like both campaings for different reasons but idk, it could have gone better.
Its a fun game but its old. If you're buying it for the campaing, there are cool moments but its pretty short. If you're buying it for the coop campaing, its even shorter but still fun. You're probably buying it for the MP but its dying, everyone you'll face has way better gear then you (similar to BF4's situation), people proudly advertise their servers while they themselves are cheating in their own server. Buy it for nostalgia if you're going to get it and definitely buy it on a discount.
