I'm recommending this game based off the context of everything around the game as well as the game itself. This is an indie studio which needs to be encouraged because what they made is really nice given the circumstances, but sadly I do have some grips with the game that I must voice. So by far, the best aspect of this game is the story and how it handles it as well as the themes that are discussed throughout the game as a whole. The story hits home really hard, having both the aspects of being personal as well as a big over arching story affecting the world as a whole. The performance of voice acting also sells the story and the emotions really well albeit sometimes the writing isn't as flattering as other times but over all I would say it's really nice. This game also features "choices" with heavy emphasis on consequences but I would say these consequences doesn't impact me as much as they thought it would. The game-play is kind of simple but satisfying at times when you land all your abilities and the whole combo which does feel bad-ass but sadly the ceiling for this game is very low at best. The variety in the "builds" also I don't think it exists at all and if it does, it's very little that I haven't been able to notice it but I don't think that was a big focus on the developers part because as mentioned the story is what's carrying the whole experience by far and it does most if not all the heavy lifting for driving the appeal for this game. The art style is also another aspect that's really nice and timeless which is really appreciated and fits the theme of the game, with cliche but very nice drawn and realized biomes and characters that I think are really unique in their own way. And the soundtrack is another aspect that's really inspiring to listen on its own with its highs and lows with how fitting it is for every section of the game and the emotional bits too. So I in spite of everything I said and seemingly dunking on the game, I did like it for what it is and did roll credits to see how my choices would shape the ending of the characters so I would recommend it still, maybe I would say on a discount but for its base price, I think it's worth to check out given it's not that hard, sometimes frustrating "platforming?" sections but also doesn't overstay its welcome with the time to get to the end of it with a satisfying conclusion as well as the ease for going for another endings or seeing what would happen with other choices that you didn't pick the first time around.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

5/10 I am sad about this one, because the concept of switching back and forth between weapon styles for different enemies is such a good idea and seemed so interesting. The level designs are also quite nice looking, despite the fact that they present as explorable and open-world when they're very linear. Sadly, the story is really nothing to write home about. It doesn't seem to have a lot of backbone to it, and the choices-matter elements don't seem to really mean a whole lot other than "you picked this side, so that side died". It seems like the outcome would have been the same on the other side. Also, the dialogue is really, really dreadful. It honestly feels like AI or like it was written by middle schoolers. It's really tough - constant sas like a kid talking back to their parents, sudden emotions seemingly built on nothing, and abrupt leaps in character "growth". As many others have said, the enemies and combat also gets very repetitive. As stated above, I was interested in the combat mechanics, but it really fell short of what it could have been. Enemies pop out of the ground at random points, and you see the same enemies in different places; or enemies with the same abilities, just in a new skin. The boss fights are okay, but some of their attacks felt a bit wonky. For example, a few of the bosses seem to have laser attacks that almost instantly re-affix onto you when you dodge away. Sorta defeats the purpose of dodging, I guess. Overall, if you can grab the game for $5 and play with low standards, I hope you enjoy it. I wouldn't recommend it in any capacity beyond that :/
