If a game was a warm blanket, but also with some satisfying cartoony violence.
short and sweet, with gameplay and visuals that still hold up more than a decade later. Add to that a good soundtrack, and it's clear that Supergiant knew what they were doing from the get-go.

Didn't age at all. Being one of the games within the rise of indies in 2011, the game has great soundtrack and solid gameplay mechanics. Like every Supergiant game, Bastion is a must-play game with a real fun 12ish hour storyline.
One of the great games that kicked off the indie revolution, and still holds up to this day. The narrator is classic, the combat can feel a bit less smooth compared to modern games, but once you get in the groove its very enjoyable. The soundtrack is amazing, and the game is fairly short, while still feeling complete and rewarding. Considering the game is almost free on sale, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't give it a shot. Its aged remarkably well and gives a great context on how Supergiant has evolved as a studio.
Bastion definitely shows its age notably through gameplay design and I'm sure it would have been a more influencial game if I had played it 15 years ago but honestly, it's still really fun to play. It was nice to see how far Supergiant has come as far as game design is concerned. Music and artistic direction were absolutely on point. Story was interesting but the overly dramatic narrator really insists upon himself. Weapon variety is really nice and you can clearly see the influence this game has had on Hades for weapons, heat/fear system and enemy designs.
While the game is fun, and I would recommend it to people in a heartbeat, it does have some flaws. The game isn't hard per say, but in my opinion it's TOO hard for it to be giving a narrative while I'm in the middle combat. The story is simple, but still presented in such a manner that it caught my attention and I wanted to learn more, but I was fighting for my life, so I didn't catch all the details. Each weapon is good to use (although I mainly used the machete and musket), but I would advise that you don't bring 2 melee or 2 ranged weapons to a level, and instead take 1 of each. Yes, some melee weapons can be thrown, and some ranged weapons are good at close range, but I think the weapons should have been split into two groups, making it so you have to bring one of each.
Worth the money/ 10 Fast, fun, timeless soundtrack
Nearly 15 years later and the first game from Supergiant Games is still a good time. Kid's out here layin' the foundation for what was to come after. Everything that the developers are known and loved for? It all started here. Lots of weapons to toy with, a melancholic story, a great soundtrack and artstyle; there's a lot to like here. Bastion isn't a particularly long game but it has enough extra content to keep the completionists busy. Recent fans of Supergiant Games would be remiss not to give this one a go.
THIS GAME IS GREAT GAME ONCE U LEARN THE CONTROLS AND ABILITIES, I RECOMMEND IT FOR ALL AGES IT IS A WONDERFUL GAME AND I HOPE EVERYONE PLAYS IT. PS I ALREADY BEAT IT.
A ścieżka dźwiękowa? Absolutnie boska. Poznajcie The Kida, Rucksa i Zulfa. Nie pożałujecie. 🎸💥
