Ah yes, the best White girl simulator on Steam. It’s the Dark souls of Barbie games. Alright, am I a Barbie fan? No Do I have Kids? Yes but this is not for them. Am I almost 40? Yes Am I totally enjoying myself more than I should be at my age? Yes. Been playing it a bit. I'm still stuck at the first level though, I couldn’t decide what color panties to wear! You laugh but I honestly think this looks beautiful and I am a man. This and my little pony are the games that make us masculine in 2025. MEN OF THE WORLD... ARISE NOW When I see such projects, I understand why games should cost 100 dollars. I'd give all 150 dollars! A Kathleen Kennedy approved game. Hard to believe we are a couple games away from YouTubers being able to make "Top 10 Barbie games” videos. Honest to God, I’m a 37 year old cute little boy and I love this Barbie game, it’s so much fun to play! I have the most awkward boner though… This game is pretty much what every man should strive to be, a fab godess of fashion. I once was a young boy that would only play anime girls and watch action figures but then this game came along to change my life forever as I realized that I had purpose. My purpose you ask, to be fab and pretty to be able to date Ken and to be the best BarbyDoll™ there ever was even though I was a man. I love this game it’s almost as good as Gone Home but I think it’s pretty much GOTY in all fields. Now I will go into detail as to why this game is so good and beats others like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Expedition 33 for they are ok but nothing compared to this game and its amazing gameplay, masterfully written story, and its great graphics. Now listen by now you must be saying "this guy is crazy its just a game for little girls” but this game is deeper than that, it explores the human condition and to why we love others. Barbie is not a doll she is a statement that tells us that h-human emotion (sorry I got choked up there) and how easy it is to tame. This is where Ken comes in, he is the beast inside us all for he wishes to tame Barbie (Our emotions) but never will for Ken is feral and does not understand Barbie’s complexity. The other cast represent the hopes of our emotions and how consumerism is taking those away from us by not taming the feral beast that lives within our hearts that beat to the rhythm of the earth. The earth cries as it sees these girls(our hopes) being taken away by men but they wish to only feel free and to stride with Barbie and her own emotions. The house is actually the galaxy we reside in and all the mini-games represent inventions made by our greatest aspirations. For example the garage mini-game this represents Ell Whitney inventor of the cotten gin but more importantly interchangeable parts and how emotions are also interchangeable like the parts created by Ken(The beast inside us). The universe must go on, so must Ken(the beast inside us) so he must continue to invent and to improve upon our emotions for it is what every beast must be enslaved to do by our own hopes and dreams. So remember when you play this game you are not playing a video game or reading a book. You are changing the very universe by experiencing the interworkings of ourselves. I would go into further detail but some might think I’m over analysing a tad. God speed fellow Barbie cute boys. Alright here's a joke that isn't really a joke: I can already tell that this game did better financially than Concord despite seemingly having a budget of 1000 dollars and a pizza party they threw for the devs of this game as payment. I wish girly games like this were given a budget and more effort so they weren’t just glorified mobile games. As someone who grew up with a lot of Barbie and Bratz games on PS2, I miss girly games a lot. These games are needed still. The library for my daughter is so small compared to when I was young… It’s the first Barbie game we’ve gotten in a while and I have to say, it’s a lot of fun! The game is very engaging and has a lot of fun quests to keep you occupied while also allowing you to do customization with characters and a few areas in the game. I was already looking forward to it when the trailer was announced over the summer and wound up getting it not too long ago when I was feeling down and it turned out to be everything I was hoping it would be. It’s really so much fun. I help my 4 year old daughter play it. I love the concept. I love that one of the characters (guest) in the park has a prosthetic leg and there is handicap parking in another area of the park. I just wish that both the Barbies could play at the same time without having to go to the office to switch. Other than that the game is really cute and fun to play. Perfect for a young gamer girl or an alpha male in his 30’s 10/10
