This is one of the games I'm conflicted on whether to recommend or not. Pros: - The environment is BEAUTIFUL. - The world seems big enough to enjoy your time there yet not enough to get lost in. Puzzles are simply, yet enjoyable during whole game. - The story is actually interesting and worth seeing. My personal dislikes: - Anthea; I really HATE her all-knowing bickering persona (I think most people who liked Yen in Witcher 3 will like her though). - Combat is so... sluggish... Also your hits feel like they have no weight at all. Some encounters you are constantly dodging or parrying just to wait for a second where you can counterattack. But I think this is also my own personal issue. - Game could've been half long and I would have twice as much fun. Cons: - Pacing of the game is terrible. God forbig you want to go and explore snowy mountains or sunny meadows. No, you will encounter 3 random trash enemies that will drop trash loot and give you 2 Exp. And sometimes you will have to wait for Anthea to finish her lecture before you can click on an item to hear another lecture of hers. - Sometimes I felt like in the middle of a lecture about how women have it hard. I mean - they DID have it hard, but so did everybody else back then... For example one of the protagonists, Red, had to deal with a loss of VERY close person to him. Anthea kept lecturing him how she suffers for the whole game. Didn't ask him ONCE how he feels... - Also the game begins with a decison "will we murder people or not"? For someone I knew... 15 minutes basically? This kinda made it easy for me. The game then carries "moral" decisions, but overall... it's a question of "murder a settler or not". And even if someone would really deserve it... the game's morality loses me there. Killing a settler is still a killing a settler, deserved or not... So... overall we have "Shadow of Mordor" kind of game filled with many great ideas... but the last 20 hours were pain for me... All I can say is - you might like it... but you'll really never know until you try...

Passion is clearly in this game. It was clearly done by people who love gaming. But execution is just wrong and bland. Both main characters are so modernized by any sensibilities that they always feel out of place. You're literally starting the game as an interracial couple at the end of XVII century in North America, and face not one instance of racism at the beginning. The main characters don't feel as egregious as the cast of Dragon Age 4, but they just feel as if 2 modern day humans were LARPing as new settlers. Quite openly LGBT characters, from Puritan societies never ever even mention facing any homophobia, it's not even written into their stories that they had to hide their love. It's literally as if I were playing a game with 21st century 20-30 yo's, who decided at one point to LARP as settlers in America. There's struggle but it feels very conveniently fit to modern sensibilities without researching and implementing things that'd introduce real friction, which leaves me disappointed. Even RDR2 does it much better and leaves place for nuance, societal commentary while allowing minority characters to show their humanity. This game just feels either dishonest or ignorant. On top of all the combat is ok at the beginning but it quickly gets tedious, low enemy variance, bland animations, no impact, no sheer brutality, everything feels like hittings things through a pillow. Most fights stick to the same pattern. They don't even feel high-stake, because most enemies can be defeated with a simple meta strategy, just gotta spam hit. But they rarely feel as if stakes were high. And It gets boring fast. Level design is also tedious, I've played first 7h, so it could've been different later, but this is already enough for the 1st impression - corridors, dungeons, same mix of gray and green, yawn. As for pluses - passion was put into this project, it feels as if created by people who love what they do. There's some real psychological tension and maturity in the plot, characters feel like they care, and it feels accurate. Too bad that they should've stuck to modern settings, or something totally fantasy. Neutral things: - music - it's there, it fits the vibe, but it also doesn't leave a lasting impression, there's no deeper thematic work, instrumentation is employed uniformly, same mix of synths, orchestral pads and well, it's ok for it what it does, but it also doesn't leave me wanting it more or humming melodies - game mechanics - they're ok, character leveling is not overthought, I prefer it rather than contrived mechanics, but it's wasted on boring fights, also Antea gets from relatively weak to OP in a matter of few perks, but it gets even more frustrating coupled with the fact that fighting is just NOT FUN
majestic game, amazing story. I loved it. this is the first game i actually finished in quite some time. It also took me 2 years well cause adhd xD but I never forgot about it. I loved how all the puzzle pieces fit together in the end!! all the stories of those people that have been told. Some amazing, some not that deep... but all in all I'm very glad I have played this game <3 amazing experience!
WHAT A GAME. Comes at you unassuming, but hits with touching story, engaging game play, vast environment with so much to discover. Everything worked like clockwork. As you can expect in an open world like this there would be some repetitive game play, but not here, every single quest had a good story and unique so didn't feel repetitive at all, and the option to have those endless challenges that you can access anytime with numerous rewards, very engaging to test your skills and have fun, whilst also getting the right rewards for your upgrades. Great Job to all the people involved with the development of this game, upwards and on wards.
esse é um daqueles jogos que ficam escondidos em meio a tantos outros jogos aqui na plataforma e que achei aleatoriamente em minhas buscas. eu fui procurando ouro e achei diamante porque sinceramente, que jogo incrível. gosto de jogos do gênero "você decide" porque em sua maioria as histórias são bem complexas e bem construídas que demanda bastante de sua atenção em cada detalhe para fazer a escolha mais sensata ou a menos pior. o jogo tem uma narrativa, cenários, combates bem imersivos, gráficos extremamente elegantes e um mapa muito amplo que lhe dá liberdade total para ser explorado e encontrar seus segredos. adorei a experiência que este jogo me proporcionou, sempre jogo como se cada personagem fosse real, me entrego de corpo e alma para imergir ainda mais no jogo, para assim tomar cada decisão com sabedoria. jogo incrível!

Meh, its good but not good. Got boring after a while.
Pas trop mal, pas trop génial non plus. Environnement trop répétitif rendant l'exploration lassante. Mais surtout bug sur mission principale qui bloque toute possibilité de continuer le jeu et aucune solution trouvée pour résoudre cela (repartir sur un ancienne sauvegarde ne solutionne pas le problème). De fait très déçu au final.
Právě dohráno a dojmy jsou, no rozporuplné... Prvních patnáct hodin velké nadšení z rozsáhlého světa kde je opravdu hodně věcí k objevování. I vedlejší úkoly se neustále kupí až jich začne být až moc a nestojí za tu námahu kdy odměna je často banální. A celkově mě přišlo vylepšování postavy pomalé vzhledem k neustále vzrůstající síle nepřátel po každém zlepšení. Oni vůbec nepřátelé po čase začnou být nudní vzhledem k celkem jednotvárné bojové technice co se jen velmi málo mění k lepšímu. V půlce hry už jsem se raději zaměřil na hlavní děj. Ten je až moc natahovaný. Ale i když nejsem nadšený hra to není špatná. Optimalizace výborná a grafika rovněž.
