vampire survivor but ball. and also idling mechanics
After completing all achievements I’ve gotta say I have enjoyed every second of this game. The only thing close to a complaint that I would even have would be that I wish there was more content. Everytning about this game for me was fun and relaxing and extremely addictive. The art style is amazing as well and just a nice touch to wrap everything together. I mainly play on the steam deck as well and it played like it was made for it . Overall just a good game and surprisingly one of my more enjoyable playing experiences. 9/10 fun and addictive
This game has balls... big balls... big bouncy balls.
I love playing with balls. In fact, it's one of my favourite hobbies. Sometimes I even let others do it with me. This game is better than that. Really, really good game design. The roguelike elements are well done both on a per-run basis and through the permanent upgrade system. Although I'm not convinced the overworld is as great as it could be. In this mode, you have to tactically build, place, and move buildings and materials in order to maximise gains for future upgrades and buffs for your runs. For me, there was too much time spent rearranging buildings and not enough time playing with balls. No matter. When you do get to play with your balls, it is extremely satisfying. Great sound effects, a huge array of characters that unlock at acceptable rates, multiple worlds with different enemies, and enough balls to make even the biggest ball connoisseur happy. There's lots of variety too. You can evolve balls to make new, more powerful balls, and you can fuse balls together to combine their effects. And there are some crazy combinations. Sometimes you can evolve two balls, then evolve another two balls so you have two evolved balls, and then evolve those two evolved balls together to create one giant ball. Who doesn't love giant balls? Yes, if you take a step back, the balls generally fall into two categories: spreaders and damage balls. You generally want to keep fusing these together to inflict high damage across multiple enemies, but it's still incredibly satisfying. Different spreaders and different damage balls behave slightly differently, and the crazy visual effects keep everything entertaining throughout. And the characters genuinely change how you play with balls. Some encourage more aggressive play, some work particularly well with certain types of balls, and hell, one of them will genuinely play with your balls for you. It's really well done, absolutely worth the price tag, and I'll be sure to spend time playing with my balls in the future.
BallxPitt is a fun and well designed game. It takes a simple concept of Space Invaders and elevates it to another level, well multiple levels to be exact. I think it is worth mentioning that the core of this game is in truth a grind. It was a truly pleasurable grind for me, but a grind nonetheless. The magic that makes grinding in BallxPitt fun is its smart and engaging design. Combine that with unique graphics and a memorable soundtrack and you’ve got yourself a great roguelike game.
it good
