Baki Hanma: Blood Arena

Wow! It's about timing and primitive raw action. Guess there won't be a lot of quantity in terms of what u see, it simply does what it does. So u must know if this is ur cup of tea. I like it! And the art design is really cool. What I really love about it is how incredibly fair it is while being difficult. Every time I get hit, I see what I did wrong – and I have to honestly admit, it could have been done right. That really makes it a great challenge. Amazing game!

The gameplay and mechanics are so simple yet this was so much fun. The combat and the effects are great. The amazing art style of Baki Hanma was done well and it was hilarious and funny. The combat kept geting challenging as it went on. Took me 4 hours to finish all 12 story mode fight. Could be faster if you can beat all the opponents faster. Not planning to do the survival arena cause the suffering was enough. One gripe I had with the game was how it did not teach about neutral blocks (not moving and staying still) Also some moves are so confusing like you would think you need to use a certain dodge but it is not. In the end a lot of the blocking is just learning the block pattern by trial and error. Game mainly focsues on learning patterns and mastering the timing and reflexes. Great fun game if you enjoy some form of suffering while fighting in the world of Baki Hanma. Recommended

Oh yeah this is what I am talking about. Its super punch out with the delicious unhinged flavour of Baki The Grappler. Its fast, snappy, rewards memorising attack patterns I like it a lot I do wish there was a bit more polish on this like different attack animations for your haymaker strikes, maybe some voice acting but overall a good game.

ITS AWESOME! i have been obsessed with baki for about 4ish years now, and this game has beautifully transitioned the series into a punch-out-like experience with animations that are spot on with the anime, and the musashi arc DLC is the perfect mix of fun and challenging, 9/10 totally recommend!

I'm huge Super punch Out fan, and was excited to play this game but it's an immense failure to me. Everything in this sort of game is about making the attacks readable and having the appropiate startup. Here your opponent share the same startup for different attacks (same positionning, same sound effect etc). Makes learning pattern very tedious, unnatural and jsut plain not fun. I don't understand how they could fail this hard at making such a simple thing.
