Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You are trapped in a looping corridor deep within Level 0 of the Backrooms.
Yellow walls stretch ahead beneath buzzing fluorescent lights. Everything looks familiar, but something never feels quite right. An object may be missing or no longer quite as you remember it. Other times, the corridor can transform into something deeply unsettling, or entities can appear where you least expect them.
Examine the corridor carefully and decide whether something has changed. If you spot an anomaly, return to the entrance. If everything appears normal, continue through the exit.
Each correct decision builds your streak. One mistake resets it. Reach a streak of 10 to complete a survey cycle, recover a new field log, and advance the investigation into Level 0.
Recover nine field logs chronicling your assignment in Level 0. Piece them together to uncover fragments of your past, learn who sent you to catalogue the anomalies, and follow your growing suspicions about the researchers who came before you and the hazmat-suited Warden who patrols the corridor.
Discover all 70 anomalies to complete the catalogue and uncover the final entry.
Complete Classic Mode to unlock Survival Mode.
Multiple anomalies can appear in each corridor. Photograph them all before the timer expires and work your way through the entire catalogue. The run ends after three missed shots, when the timer expires, or if you are caught.
Review the evidence recovered from each Survival run and choose which photographs to preserve in your Steam screenshot library.

Every loop brings you closer to understanding what is happening in Level 0. But the deeper you go, the stranger everything begins to feel.

EXIT 8: BACKROOMS EDITION
So, this Indie Developer decided to take a tackle at this genre of anomaly seeking sort of games, and I will say they did not do a bad job. The team of Liminal_Games, I am proud of this project and hope to see what happens next with the series as I saw you are also doing the POOLS next, pretty excited about that. I cannot wait to play it, and I am sorry it took me a while to come and complete this game. I do have things to discuss to why I like this game, and think what you can improve going forward, just as a gamer who likes games like this.
What I LIKED about this game:
+It was a good time, not too demanding and was a genuine fun two hour experience. +The atmosphere was so surreal and felt like, well, the BACKROOMS, but also that familiarity with things and vibe of Exit 8 so that was nice. +The anomalies had good range from "blink and you will miss" to "how did I miss that???" +Hard mode being linked to Normal Mode was a nice and welcome surprise, as I played on Hard Mode for this journey, wanting to get as much challenge as I could. +The Jumpscares, though only minimal, were fantastic, and did get me at times. +The Colorblind options were a nice touch. +The CONTROLLER ACCESSIBILITY, THANK YOU! I do not like using mouse and keyboard, so being able to use a controller was nice. +The sound design, immaculate. You can hear the surroundings and notice tiny changes that help with spotting anomalies. +The Ending 2 was so nice to get, after a long grind after getting everything.
What I DISLIKED about this game:
-The Chase music was loud, even with adjusting, it was loud. -The Crouch button returns from the demo, and, I found only one use for it, and I did not even need to use it to spot that one anomaly. -The A and RT buttons both being run was, fun, but feel like A should have been something else. -The price of the game. You can get Exit 8 for 4 bucks, and you get this one for $7. I feel like maybe 6 bucks and $8 for the supporter bundle would be a nice change, but that really is not a negative, as it is YOUR game and you decide the value Overall, this is a fun, short, sweet game that does not have much harm in just sitting down and playing through an afternoon or just pick up and play when you feel like it. This game has a lot for it, for the Exit 8 fans, to the BACKROOMS enjoyers, to those who just want to relive "I Spy" trips. The Final Score, for BACKROOMS ANOMALY is a 8/10. It was fun, fine, yet short but enjoyable game. I recommend this to those who just wanna get into the genre after the taste of watching the Backrooms movie and playing EXIT 8, or just play it for yourself because why not support a small dev team. Until next time y'all~

The game is ok but the fear factor is lacking here. 6.5/10 https://youtu.be/C-PZamMUyMs?is=aC0lBNKi7F-Fokpb
Fun and challenging anomaly hunting, definitely will come back to find them all!
Прикольная, но так на чуть чуть
Nice idea , its like every other exit 8 clone, it was fun but nothing special
I was really hoping for more than just 45 minutes of gameplay.
I had fun with with one. Yes it's not a long game, but I enjoyed the challenge or trying to get every anomaly right. My only thing is that I would love to see more entities or some scares in the next game. Otherwise I had a good time with it!
Honestly, I wasn't expecting a whole lot out the gate with this title. It's a little rough around the edges but not bad at all. There are still a few bugs with anomaly detection, as it would say that there was an anomaly when there wasn't one, but the games only been out a few days. The loop it too simple and its basically Exit 8 reskinned. There is nothing here that really makes it "Backrooms" except for the ambient sounds and the NPC that walks the hallway. You could literally not associate it with the "Backrooms" and no one would notice the difference. Overall I'd give this a solid 6/10. I hope to see more from this developer in the future, but this game isn't for everyone.
Dano si è spaventato tanto. Polished. Top skinwalker moment, made me poopoo.
