Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Its a nice friendly little game. Sure the controls are a little wonky but its okay when you get used to it. Its a fun little project. Im glad that games like this gets made. I feel that the developers had fun making it. Its not the best game ever, but it does not need to be. Its nice and fun.
I wasn't going to post this review because the game already has mixed ratings, but then I learn that there was a permanently missable item if you choose the "wrong" dialogue option with the frog in the first 10 seconds of the game.

😐 5/10 - A Fun Idea That Never Quite Comes Together Away: Journey to the Unexpected has a lot of charm on the surface. Its colorful art style, upbeat atmosphere, and quirky cast of characters immediately make it stand out. The game tries to blend first-person exploration with roguelite elements and light RPG mechanics, creating something unique that feels different from most games in the genre. Unfortunately, the execution doesn't always live up to the concept. The biggest issue is that many of the systems feel underdeveloped. Combat is simple and often repetitive, progression can feel inconsistent, and the roguelite elements don't provide enough variety to keep repeated runs exciting. While recruiting characters to join your adventure is a neat idea, it rarely feels impactful enough to carry the experience. The humor and personality are hit-or-miss. Some characters are genuinely memorable and funny, while others feel forgettable. The story exists mostly as a backdrop for the adventure and never becomes particularly engaging. To its credit, the game has a positive, lighthearted energy that's hard to dislike. It's clear the developers had a creative vision, and there are moments where that vision shines through. Exploring the world and meeting new characters can be enjoyable, especially for players looking for something unusual and family-friendly. In the end, Away: Journey to the Unexpected feels like a collection of good ideas that needed more polish and depth. It's not a bad game, but it's also difficult to recommend beyond fans of quirky indie experiments. 5/10 ⭐ Just Average A charming and creative adventure with plenty of personality, but repetitive gameplay and shallow mechanics keep it from becoming anything truly memorable. 🎒🌎
It's pretty good if you want a somewhat easy game to brainlessly just complete in a couple hours but the fighting is easy to get around and kinda boringly repetetive if you take on all fights you can but some of the enemies will take you out fast if you are not carefull which did add a tactical need too, that being said i did not die to any of the bosses a single time (their pathing is a bit too easy if you generally just play a lot of games already) and the game was a enjoyable one but would recomend buying on sale since theres not too many hours in it and it does feel like its lacking a bit more meat on its bones ^^
"I went into AWAY not really knowing what to expect. I saw that it had mixed reviews on Steam, but I was charmed by its visual style and decided I was willing to take a punt on it during a sale. As it turns out, my impressions of it are just as mixed as those Steam reviews suggested they might be. It’s not a bad game, but it’s so painfully average and occasionally tedious that sitting down to write this review felt like more of a chore than anything. Its visuals draw inspiration from a visionary, yet AWAY: Journey to the Unexpected is anything but." The game was pretty fun for how short it was. The artstyle is amazing and the story is... well, it's alright, could be worse. There are a bunch of charming characters and the recruitment mechanic is pretty fun to interact with all things considered. Although I do have a few issues with the game. While I enjoyed it, a large part of the game feels like a bit of a slog with the combat being a little unsatisfying, to say the least. I also wish there was a little more content, like maybe more characters with unique abilities, more areas with unique enemies or maybe just some post-game content. Overall, I'd say this game has some really good potential, but in the state it's currently in... only buy it on sale, it's not worth the full price for what you get.
