About
Welcome to Aurora Hills!
Nestled deep within the Appalachian Mountains, Aurora Hills was known for its thriving industry and its picturesque landscape. Owing to the region's natural resources, Aurora Hills was looking to become one of the most prosperous towns in the state.

All is not how it seems, however. A series of disappearances of residents and tourists alike have plagued the region over the past few years, sparking a mass exodus from the small town. Now, in October 1981, the town is a shell of its former self. The prosperity that once blessed Aurora Hills has all but evaporated.
Working as a park ranger, you must investigate what's going on with these disappearances and answer questions that have tormented residents for years. Why has there been an increase in disappearances over the past 6 months? Why are there no traces of the people who went missing? Perhaps most importantly, who, or what, could be behind all of this? It's up to you to venture forth, deep into the national park, to uncover the mysteries of Aurora Hills...
Developed by the creators of Meridian 157, Aurora Hills: Chapter 1 is the first part in series of point and click, puzzle escape room style adventure games. Amazing!!! Great little puzzle game, really makes you use your noggin. I did have to use the skip puzzle a couple of times as I don't have the amount of time to spend on these games as I would like. Very satisfying when you do crack a puzzle on your own though. Great that it's free... but ends on a cliff hanger so that you just get sucked in ready to purchase part 2, which I will definitely be doing. Also contains zero wokeness or DEI etc that I have come across thus far. I salute any games designer who doesn't tailor to the "modern audience", who are a minority of lunatics anyway.

Amazing game.
RIEN A REDIRE
Really well done puzzle explorer. I thought it was a bit short, but then remembered it was the free "intro". So now I am buying chapter 2. I played their whole Meridian 157 series, they start with a free Prologue game so you can see if you like it first. Outstanding game series as well. They improved a few things even further with this new Aurora Hills series. Tweaked the layout and camera/photo controls to be even better. Also better graphics.
Nice point-and-click adventure. Easy to navigate and fairly logical puzzles throughout!
