A short, but enjoyable game. It's mostly story based for the most part, with some combat aspects. It also has voice acing for some parts of the game too. Combat revolves around managing your White Magic, (Health) and your Mana (MP). Some skills require WM, and others Mana, while some require both. You can also defend which helps restore WM, and Mana, as well as switch rows, which are necessary to use some skills as well. Each fight gets tougher the longer it drags on, due the damage mod that increases every turn, resulting in increased damage for you, but also for the enemy as well. Would I recommend it? Yes, as I can tell the developer put time and effort as well as care into this game.
What a letdown lmao... The trailer makes the game look way more epic than it actually is. Basically the game just has you stuck in a first person view whilst watching a few (SLOW PACED) scenes where not really much happens (and all you can do control wise is move the camera around). Voice acting is pretty subpar too, along with the plot being pretty nonsensical and the dialogue being pretty cringe. The battle system is also (EXTREMELY) slow. Action turn based but in the worst way possible (I'm too lazy to type a description for this one). I couldn't even finish the second battle because it's that tiresome. Visuals and OST are pretty decent but that's about it really. Can't refund this because I bought a code off a third party site due it being ridiculously overpriced officially, but... I paid like £1, so it's not a total loss. Yeah, don't buy this tbh. Not even worth it on sale. Only played 20 minutes of it, but that's enough for me to feel it's not gonna be that great in the long run. And it's a shame really, cause again, the trailer did make the game look sick.
