Asterix & Obelix XXL 2

il gioco in sè nella versione originale è molto bello è ben fatto. un po' ripetitivo nel lungo andare ma tutto sommato se vi piacciono giochi platform dove si picchia veramente tanto, ve lo consiglio vivamente... la versione originale uscite su ad esempio PS2. purtroppo questa rifacimento a livello grafico di sto gioco è per carità carino, ma niente di che, ma è afflitto da una ottimizzazione che è davvero atroce, un lavoro tecnico da vergogna assoluta. non è possibile che mi va a numero di frame rate così basso con una caspiterina di RTX 2070 super con addirittura le impostazioni tutte a basso. non ve la consiglio assolutamente questa versione del gioco, fa veramente schifo come ottimizzazione tecnica su PC. sto gioco se lo volete giocare decentemente, prendetevi la versione originale o la stessa versione rifatta ma su console, qua è stato fatto un porting vergognoso.

Yeah this sucks just like the first one. First off, the game is legit unplayable due to locked 30 FPS causing massive lag and frame drops unless you download external devices and edit files to make it playable, which is crazy for a game from 2018, so already off to a terrible start. The story is meh, just fighting caesar. The gameplay is the same boring spamming attack into forced waves of 30-100 people over and over again. None of the special moves seem to ever work or is properly explained how to use them. The level design is awful, forcing you back and forth throughout levels finding the way you missed or door that is now open to go to a different part of the level, so you'll be reading walkthroughs the first few levels intermittently to find where to go, because theres never any objectives or indicators. the fight THE SAME BOSS, just like the first one, 3x, and he couldn't be worse designed. Forcing him to slow move around platforms chasing you while endless guys spawn and bother you, and you can be hit off randomly at any time and be instant killed even 4 min into a 5 min fight, and you have to do it all over again. Also there's these awful pac man enemies that can stagger kill you randomly and aren't easy to stun or damage. Theres almost nothing redeeming. 5/10.

Remastered version of an already fun and nostalgic game that I've played a lot on the PS2 as a child. In my opinion, the combat, controls and overall gameplay are so much better than in XXL 1, which is already a fun and decent game but has significantly more flaws and boring moments than this one. Another reason why I love this game is that it's comedy gold, it's filled with hilarious cutscenes and references to popular videogames. That being said, I highly recommend every fan of 3D action, adventure and beat 'em up games to grab this game while on sale. It's not required to play the first game to understand the story so play in whatever order you want, but I'd still advise you to buy the XXL trilogy bundle. And I particularly recommend this game to 100% achievement hunters because the game is rather short, straightforward, has no missable achievements and can be done in a single playthrough.

A good old school platformer with great graphics, good controls and sometimes annoying enemies (looking at you, Giant Roman Experiment). Also, I got lost a lot since the game does a lousy job of providing information on where you need to go. The atmosphere and levels in the first XXL are better and more varied in my opinion. Other than that, this game is better in every other aspect.

Nemmeno a farlo di proposito poteva uscire un port fatto così male. No comment.

Отличный сиквел отличного бит эм апа, улучшивший почти всё, что было в оригинале. Боевая система изменилась, но теперь требования к гринду и закупке приёмов стало меньше, появилось больше возможностей в плане избиения римлян (вроде использования как кнут и совместные перекидывания между галлами), юниты стали на порядок разнообразнее и интереснее, требуя больше думать головой в бою. Игровые ситуации стали интереснее и оригинальнее, дизайн локаций ещё лучше и разнообразнее. Абсурдный пародийный юмор выкрутили на полную и кайфуешь теперь не только от геймплея и избиения римлян, но и просто смотря на игровые ситуации, пародии на персонажей из других игр, а также местный лвл дизайн. Из недостатков только сохранившиеся проблемы с камерой, плюс из-за ставшей более плавной анимации, несколько пострадал импакт от избиения римлян, но недостатки привыкабельные и компенсируются рядом достоинств. Однозначная рекомендация!
