The year is 50 BC. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely... One small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders.
In this game, designed to delight both fans of deck building and of the Asterix series, you can build a deck of 30 cards from the 150 available in the game.
Each card in your deck can be used to advance your strategy, from inflicting heavy damage with a menhir to healing a hero with one of Getafix's potions! It's up to you to adapt to each round, make the right choices and create combos that are as unexpected as they are devastating, by mixing, for example, the famous frenemies Unhygienix and Fulliautomatix.
Asterix et Obelix are here, of course, and so is the entire village and their friends, all ready to set off on an adventure. Cacofonix the bard, the faithful Dogmatix, Unhygienix the fishmonger and even Queen Cleopatra: they're all ready to fight!
Unlock up to 24 heroes as you adventure through all the different regions. Each character has unique characteristics and an ultimate skill. Asterix's ""Born Rebel"" skill, for example, works best against the Romans, making their attacks less precise, while Dogmatix uses ""Mark Territory"", which terrifies opponents and completely stuns animals! So make sure you choose the right hero for the right enemy.

Bah, en tant que jeu de combat tour par tour et de deckbuilding, ça passe si on se fait ch*er et qu'on veut spécifiquement du Astérix & Obélix, j'imagine ? (20 balles quand même) Pourtant, qu'est ce que c'est fade. Il y a peu de plaisir à tirer de la boucle de gameplay : pas d'animations stylées, pas de doublage, pas de sound design marquant, pas de doublage, pas de musiques cool ou diversifiées, pas de doublage, même pas de sensations fluides pendant et en dehors des combats. Non mais, sérieux, il y a vraiment 0 doublage. Bon admettons, je peux comprendre qu'il n'y ait pas eu les moyens pour ça. Mais où sont-ils, ces moyens ? Dans les décors et personnages qui ressemblent assez aux dessins de la BD ? Ah oui mais non, c'est déjà les mêmes éléments (je déconne pas) que dans les jeux que le studio a développés précédemment (que des jeux Astérix). Terrible, le produit final n'est qu'un jeu très très moyen qui n'a d'Astérix & Obélix que l'apparence et le nom. Ça me peine de le dire, mais je constate un jeu qui n'a pas connu l'amour du détail, pas le moindre fignolage. Sans compter qu'il faut revenir 3-4 fois dans chaque niveau (je ronfle) avec des compo/chemins spécifiques alors que, comme je le disais, rien n'est particulièrement bon. Irais-je jusqu'à dire que ce jeu n'a pas de cœur ? Fortement probable.
