Assassin's Creed Mirage

I'm not even 2 hours in, but this game looks great visually. It also reminds me of old AC. I appreciate the focus on the brotherhood for a change and Baghad looks like the kind of city I was frustrated Valhalla didn't have.

As someone who found the first few Assassins Creed boring. I know, unpopular opinion. I got into Assassins Creed from Black Flag on. I found this one to be a good game. Yes, it's different, but the good kind of different, especially after the boring Viking one.

Is this game perfect? No, far from it. Is it the Assassin fantasy a lot of us were craving? Yes. Parkour in this game is functional and responsive and Baghdad as a city really compliments it. You can parkour throughout the whole city without touching the ground in almost all parts. The detection system is as good as it can be the mission structures really aid the player in feeling like an Assassin, something that was jarringly absent in the games preceding it. The story is mediocre as a whole, though it wraps up pretty nicely. Valley of Memories as a DLC makes up for it, and is arguably the most touching a story has gotten over the last decade for Ubisoft.
