About
What if you lost all your memories? An emotional family drama seen through the eyes of a woman with Alzheimer's disease. As Annie’s life slowly unravels, uncover memories of her deceased brother as her past bleeds into the present.
Inspired by personal stories. You play as Annie, an elderly woman whose memory is starting to betray her. Annie and her children cope with reversed caretaking roles as she moves from her long-time home. While her children clash over how to care for her, old memories of Annie’s long-dead brother start to emerge.
As Long As You're Here is a subtle reflection of what life with dementia might look like, and a story about complex sibling relationships.
As Long As You're Here is a short and personal experience made with care by a small team of developers.
The aim is to create a mature and nuanced experience that shows the difficult repercussions of losing not only your memory, but also your agency and sense of time and place.
What disappears when we forget?
... and what resurfaces?

Short & Subtle: A short and subtle experience designed to be enjoyed in one sitting.
Personal: Inspired by real stories and includes real-life photos of the developers' own family members - some of whom suffered from Alzheimer's disease.
Story Rich: Explore Annie's life through dialogue, mementos, and letters from the past. Meet family members and unpack the tensions and dynamics between them.
Subversive Vignettes: The player's own memory comes into play. As the world around Annie shifts and changes, players share in her failing faculties.

Our studio name comes from the word "autoscopy" — an experience of "watching yourself" from a distant point of view. We make introspective games that put players in underrepresented roles, and hope to give you a glimpse of yourself from another perspective.

It makes you feel scared, lost and alone. And in the case of this game, it makes for an extremely compelling and emotional journey. Without a shadow of a doubt it's worth buying it, no matter how short it is.
Durée du jeu légèrement courte pour le prix. Mais l'expérience est très touchante, très bien réalisée. Merci pour ce petit voyage
Explica bastante bien cómo vive una persona con alzhéimer, la verdad. Terminé llorando, me dio mucha pena. Los graficos lo mejor y, en mi opinión, es una obra de arte.

It's a nice short game, even though not as touching as some of the reviews claim. I think they did a good job showing something that is very hard to explain if you haven't experienced it yourself. I got this game in a bundle with The Berlin Apartment and it is quite similar in many aspects: the art style, scenery, limited interactions and a good story. One downside is that this game is not fully voiced over, what made it worse in my opinion is that they decided to still add some sounds to the characters: they would often sigh/moan/yawn when another sentence appears, which is an odd sound design choice and it takes me away from the immersion. I'd much rather not have any human sounds at all than that. But it doesn't happen with every sentence, so it's bearable. I'd recommend it only in a bundle and/or with a discount. Or if you're particularly interested in the topic, because there are very few games (nothing comes to mind, actually) that touch it. It worked well on Steam Deck, however I had to use the magnifier hotkey to read some text in just a couple of places.
I loved playing it. I really liked the atmosphere. I never got in touch with people with dementia in real life but this game created more awareness. Much much love to the creators!!!
war schön, hab geheult lg
Très belle histoire, permettant (avec modération) de se rendre compte de ce que fais la démence à la personne concernée et son entourage
As Long As You're Here. est le meilleur investissement larmes/prix de ma bibliothèque. C'est un jeu très émouvant, très bien rythmé qui nous fait nous questionner sur la vie et nos regrets, le tout dans une direction artistique très douce qui accompagne bien la mélancolie du jeu. Ça en valait la peine.
Obrigado por este jogo!
A relentless story that forces you, for the first time, to inhabit the crumbling mind of an Alzheimer's patient. very insightful, recommend.
