The horribly toxic Swamp King has risen once again! Gather your party and set out on an open world, retro-styled, RPG adventure. Powerful mystical artifacts are scattered about the world, each able to grant you new powers. Which will you choose? What is your destiny?

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 10 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great oldskool game. Follows Dragon Quest motifs more than any other. The artifacts are your special skills. Most of them are for your casters. The Shaman is the main caster, followed by the adventurer. A quirk of the game is that whoever is the lead is the one that gets the artifacts so that is something to remember. I had a better time playing this game on a NES controller than the normal ones, but maybe your set up may be better than mine, who knows. Just know this game is horrible with keyboard. What I really liked about this game is that there are choices you make that not only change the ending, but also change what you get, whether spells, gear or money. Fun fact you can always watch the ending, by heading to the port South of the castle. Fun way to check out what your choices did. I am already on my 2nd playthrough. I would suggest the Key of time for your 1st playthrough and then the Ship for your 2nd.
There is a glitch where you can take advantage of the shrines if you summon the plane as you are heading in.
Reason I say play as the shrine 1st is cause it will ease where to start and go, if you choose the plane, you can go anywhere, but also means you will die more since you will have no clue on where to go next. Either way, couldn't recommend this game enough.

crops like ♥♥♥♥ into a small pathetic window were you cant see ♥♥♥♥. i was wondering around and figuring ♥♥♥♥ out when i died which happens so whatever, but right when i started too feel invested and a little exited, it was night and the guards wouldn't let me out side. i couldn't figure out how to make it morning again...... so in conclusion, sense there are only an infinite amount of games ;like these i will say this was not worth my time. too bad.
The main problem with this game is that it is very front loaded. It feels like there is half a game a game here with a good portion of the map lacking points of interest. At the time this game was released there was a lack of official NES style turn based rpg games so it filled a niche. Now though with the NES era Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games available to play on steam there just isn't much of a reason to play this game. It's a shame really because the bones of a innovative take on the classic rpg experience are here I just think it falls a bit short in the end game. I did like the game enough to check to see if it had been updated since the last time I had played and it doesn't appear that it has so I'm going to give Artifact Adventure a thumbs down. There are better games in this genre on steam to try. Particularly now.
fun 2d JRPG. Lot of choice, quite open world, classic graphic. The game is very chaotic specially at the beginning but is a nice experience overall. It's made to be played without a guide and dealing with the decision you make. Classes could be better balanced.
I love JRPGs and I'm a fan of Final Fantasies 1-6. But Artifact Adventure just didn't work for me. It was difficult to get into, the classes didn't seem exciting or different, and the overall experience made me just want to play Final Fantasy 1 instead. Maybe I'd get more out of it if I played it multiple times, and it seems to do several things well such as decision making, difficulty, and the option to sell off a starting character. But it just isn't for me.
A Decent, slightly unhinged RPG adventure with fairly basic RPG combat, I like the open world design of the game, its a world that is just fun to explore. Something great as well are all the choices, starting with your party make up for the rest of the game as well as whatever boon you pick at the beginning of the adventure and afterwards just about every quest in the game has multiple resolutions, some of which do have some scales gray to them which I like also. On the opposite side the game is somewhat player hostile and doesn't really like to explain things, most notably the artifacts which you collect through the journey, they are what grant you all your special abilities and spells, the character you have at the front is the one who always picks the artifact up and gains its abilities which can easily lead to you wasting a spell artifact on a character with no MP to use them, many of the artifacts don't really do a good job explaining what they do until you do decide to commit, so you might want to have a guide handy for that. And while the open nature of the game is cool, it does also lead to you very easily wandering into something which you have no way of surviving. The dungeons do also unfortunately kinda devolve into just winding mazes especially towards the end. Slight ending spoilers:
The true ending requirements are also overtly cryptic in my opinion and doesn't really lead to a satisfying conclusion either.
You could do a whole lot worse than playing this, there are things to enjoy for sure, but I think with just a little bit more effort and thought put into it, it could have been even better.
I got it for 99 cents, about all its worth. It captures the look and feel of a classic famicom jrpg, and if that's all you want, the game is passable. But its not a good time. I get its an indie rpg maker game, but its so boring. There is no main story at all unless you pick the correct starting gift, which the game doesn't explain btw. Not explaining is actually a feature, since not one quest gives you any clue as to its ending, and most every quest has 3+ endings. Not like you'll see any evidence of that until the ending slideshow. It plays like DQ 1 where levels dictate everything, no combat strategies are effective beyond mashing attack. Don't even need to do that, as the auto battler is usually sufficient. Which is fun, yeah? To buy a game to NOT play it. Whats funny, is the AI always auto uses your "ultima" once learned. So, if you liked the autobattler, once you learn any big mana spells it'll just waste all your mana on anything willy-nilly. It also won't re-equip ammo. Magic is bizarrely locked to whatever character talks to the magic giver, and can get equipped to party members who can't use magic too for some dumb reason. The game does have multiple endings, bad, neutral, and true, however has virtually zero clues on how to actually achieve them. Get it for 99 cents like I did, play around for an hour, and see if its worth your time.
