Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
In Armoured Commander II, you play the role of a tank commander in World War II, leading your crew through a campaign in one of the major conflicts of the war. The game features over 50 campaigns set between 1939 and 1945, and over 1300 unit types. The terrain map for each combat day, the weather conditions, and the types of enemies you encounter are randomly and procedurally generated, which means that each playthrough of a campaign will bring new and unexpected challenges. Your commander and crew gain experience and can improve their stats and gain skills over time, but they are also vulnerable to injury and may be seriously wounded or killed during the course of a campaign.
ArmCom2 is a game of survival rather than destruction. You will frequently find yourself outnumbered and outgunned. Your success in a campaign will depend on your ability to deal with a variety of challenges, and to make best use of all the tactics and tools that you have at your disposal. Different tanks, historical eras, and regions of the world will produce a very different play experiences, from the initial armoured clashes in Asia and Poland in 1939, to the final drive on Berlin and the Pacific Islands of the Japanese Empire in 1945.
The gameplay is turn-based, so you can pause and consider your options at any point in the game. You can choose to take on the role of your Commander, meaning that if your Commander is killed in the game your campaign ends (Permadeath), or you can continue playing through an entire campaign, replacing your tank and crew as needed. Once a campaign ends, you can choose to continue with your crew in a new campaign.
Different campaigns are designed to include historically-based vehicles for you to command, friendly support units, enemy units, and different types of missions. Some campaigns will be easier than others, and historical battles such as Kursk or Operation Overlord are included. The weather, terrain, and length of combat day will vary based on your location in the world and the date in the calendar.
Mods are supported: an extension for the Vortex mod manager is available, or mods can be manually installed by the player.
No DRM is used in the game and it will run without Steam connectivity if required (although achievements will not be recorded). The source code (excluding assets such as portraits, campaign and unit definitions) is open source and included with the game.

lovely and unorthodox ASCII game about WW2 tank warfare. Just like life you can die in first ever engagement or be lucky and roll uneventfully through whole campaign. Although remember - cowards don't win wars.
insanely fun and addicting. still only halfway through my first campaign but dang I should have got this game a while ago. if you're a fan of strategy, wargames, roguelikes or ww2 I highly recommend this game. even at full price its worth it, on sale it's a steal.
Reminds me of the board game B17 Queen of the skies except you're in a tank. Lots of different tanks to choose from different campaigns. I am playing my first campaign: USA retaking the Philippines. I choose AI difficulty "very hard" and modified game for greater difficulty such that my Victory points are multiplied by 125%. Fun, but after about a dozen days into campaign, the game is easy. I have a squad of light tanks with me so I always outnumber the enemy. Too easy even though the rating of this campaign 8 out of 10 difficulty. *update* I just realized there's an option to "Go alone" without any squad of tanks to join you!. Hopefully that will will make it tougher! Edited for corrections and after discovering new difficulty options.

The best roguelike for people who wanna get an ulcer. :)
The perfect level of gameplay complexity and graphical fidelity for a tank sim.
One of the more outstanding turn-based tactical games that came out in the twenties. AC II somehow marries the unmarriable. It is simultaneously:
1. A deep part-wargame, part-RPG roguelike (true roguelike).
Factors that you will have to consider to play this game truly well:

Your crew stats
Your vehicle stats
Ground quality
Terrain
Weather
Morale
Ammo availability
Support availability
Reinforcement availability
Odds of sniper fire for purposes of opening the hatch for easier battlefield assessment
How deep into the current offensive operation you are
A specific model of a hostile unit (be it a vehice or an AT gun). Because you have to know when to run

2. A coffee-break game.
Because:

None of the above is neccessary to play the game casually. You will learn it all naturally and quite quickly.
Controls are simple to the point of being simplistic. Especially by true roguelike standards - those like to take advantage of your entire keyboard. An hour or two in you'll start hammering in commands at the speed of Zinovy Kolobanov.
Very concise gameplay chunks. Every offensive is broken up into days which - depending on opposition - may take from five to twenty minutes.
A simple DnD-inspired RPG system for your crew. You increase stats - which open access to game-changing perks.
For those who don't want to lose progress upon death, the dev has created a fate point system - upon a potential hit against your avatar, you can expend one to guarantee a miss. They are in short supply, of course, but it makes the whole experience somewhat more forgiving than the roguelike standard. This system becomes particularly important if you go for large campaigns (or, of you dare, whole war).
The ASCII graphics are a boon. First, they give you perfect readability. Second, they abstract the war just enough not to take it too seriously. Third, they don't diminish your dread when a giant red question mark hobbles from beyond the map's edge and suspiciosly stops next to a group of wooden houses.
Together it creates a formula which can rival deck-builders in addictivity (which is part of the reason I played it so little - this thing can drain your life away if you don't terminate the process with some prejudice). Armoured Commander II truly doesn't distinguish whether you're a military history buff in their hermitage or a UNICEF volunteer in need of a quick fix in between the round-the-clock toil amidst the Great Lakes (the other Great Lakes) - its hatch is open for all.
It's kind of rediculous how fun this low-fi game is. It really shows that sometimes you really don't need fancy graphics (or sounds) to have a cracking game. And in this case it's also crammed with content to explore.
Still outstanding. This is a game I can come back to again and again, and it sucks me right back in.
Amazing game.
My favorite Simcade for tanks. Endless replayability, challenges with rewards on discord, engaging community and an endless roster of tanks, scenarios, dynamic campaigns and units. Definitely one of my top 3 favorite all time games! Oh, did I mention it works flawlessly with a controller and stramdeck? Its just perfect.
